Yup. He’s missing some throws as expected, but he’s still developing. He’s so slippery in the pocket and can break a long run at any moment. It would’ve been straight sack city with that wounded giraffe Flacco in there

People who are bashing Lamar aren’t watching the game and look at the stat lines. He is the only consistent part of our team right now outside of maybe Humphrey. He is keeping our drives alive and you can say he had less than 200 yards before the Snead TD but he also had 60 rushing yards.
The Browns did phenomenal in the first half putting together long drives I’m pretty sure the Ravens only had the ball like 3 times in the entire half it felt like.
I mean we can say all bad was on the Ravens they should’ve won this game but the Browns TOLD the Ravens before the game what they were gonna do and those short throws are a blueprint for the Steelers and Bengals to have huge weeks against us as well.
Ravens struggle against teams this time of the year for whatever reason every year I’m not basing the entire season off of one division game.

I’m just not understanding why everything in the middle of the field is open. The nearest defender is 5 to 10 yards off. And what’s with putting Carr in the slot and our worst Corner on the outside? Our personnel is so screwed up it’s laughable. Only saving grace on defense is Marlon. McPhee is purely depth. Our Ends our atrocious. Tony Jefferson looks like he doesn’t belong in the league. It’s just really bad all over

Wouldn't call those garbage time stats. If the d could defend a screen we might not be sweating this loss as much. We were in that one until the end.

He isn’t missing nearly as passes as I expected this season. He was 24-34 with a few drops. Definitely a catalyst under center. Ravens are built right now to be balanced but that is impossible with how bad the defense is. I can’t remember the last time the defense was this bad maybe 2012 with the injuries maybe? Even then they may have been better.
He is putting the ball in places the defense can’t get the ball which is what Joe was good at for a good amount of time. Some people may say bad throw because it didn’t connect. But it’s better than risking a turnover and hoping your WRs can pull off an incredible catch

Judon is great dont get me wrong but I see him as a high tier #2 edge but not elite like we had in Suggs for years. I like him but outside of him it’s pretty shaky and may be a long season

Hey no hater here! I really love and and support Lamar both as a man, and as the tremendously talented QB he is and am greatful he is breathing new life into this city.
Like I said I acknowledge his improvments especially on the deep ball and his great ability to extend plays and pull off crazy circus throws like last week on throws to Snead and Roberts.
All I'm saying is let's not continue the post Miami game MVP conversation elite afc QB talk. Yes he is good, dangerous as an overall playmaker.
His biggest concern entering the season is how to improve from the horrific san Diego game where he put up league worst numbers in albeit his first playoff game and at a young age.
In my opinion yes he has shown improvments on his mechanics and definitely on his snap handling which was like an every week fumble for him last yr. Only 2 turnovers so far which is great. However his. Passing. Stats. Are. Mediocre. And. Unfortunately. That is a a well known fact. The Browns knew it and dared him to throw which he rarely had success with today in a loss. I know there were drops and fumbles and bad pass protection.
All I am saying is that Lamar has not shown yet to he can beat good teams with his arm yet, consistently and clearly show that he is improving on chemistry with his receivers and is still a work in progress overall. It's early but folks we got Seattle this year, New England, Rams, and the Brown's again. It won't get easier so what am I supposed to expect from him when he is mediocre for 2 straight weeks.
Difference between being a hater and just being honest. Ravens are 2-2 folks 2nd place to the Browns and you tell me Lamar and this offense should be trusted against these tough teams we have to face? Not until he proves it until then the stats speak for themselves, he and everyone and on this team especially defense need to improve. He gets another cake matchup against the beatdown Steelers team next, hopefully more chemistry develops and a win will come out of it.
I hold Lamar to the same standards as every analyst who has already butchered Lamar through 3 weeks and will certainly hear the same "yea he's dynamic but can't throw", and all you can do to argue it is make excuses like many of you are today.

We played phenomenal game in London couple years ago compared to this one today
going back to your Kaep just for a bit. Without his ability to run he really would have been nothing because he was never an accurate passer at all and those numbers i sent you earlier proved it. However he was able to win in the postseason do to his running and that's cool, because that was his strength. Now if you're going to take kaeps running you should also include Lamar Jackson's, because that's he reason we have any semblance of a running game. Prior to Jackson last season we were getting stuffed because we couldn't run block. That's Roman and Jackson
Jackson's athleticism is a strength that we should always use to our advantage. Not saying you don't think we should, but those numbers aren't being counted in his total yardage yet you want to take out the "padded stats".

You make a valid but further reinforce my point that Kapernick was also a tremendous QB for a time even though he was still an inaccurate passer and like you said "he was never a good QB". But still got paid a huge contract, looked at as the face of the franchise all of that and we all know how that finished for him. I could also mention Cam Newton too and his MVP caliber athletic abilty, it's cool in the regular season, makes you a contender which is exciting and I don't want to take that for granted. But obviously when it came time to throw , Cam and Kaep both suffered the same fate in the super bowl.
I do not want that for Lamar, want him to be a proven passer who can make plays from the pocket and still run wild.
So to be content, and just let his slight improvements but overall mediocre and inconsistent stats slide... He has to be better. Only excuse he gets from me is the fact that win lose or draw even if he ends up being the worst QB in the league, Lamar deserves another year or 2 to continue developing. He is indeed worth it. Still early plenty of time left to improve and the defense is looking like a franchise worst.
Who remembers a few years ago when Odell torched us for over 200 yards and multiple TDs in an upset win. Our defense has certainly put plenty of bad performances over the years. Aj Green too has dropped 200+yds on us same with AB over the years. Remember the browns TE gary barnidge who toasted us for big numbers?! lol But typically even after bad performances our defense tends to find a way to rebound.
We should get healthy and just work harder and play better. Earl Thomas openly admitted he gave up on the long TD play because of the fear of hurting his hamstrings lol no excuses. Bad play is bad play. Lazy play is lazy play.

Aside from people not liking Kaep he’s largely irrelevant which is another good reason to stop bringing him up lol
But seriously folks I don’t understand the hyper scrutiny of Lamar being today’s theme given the way this mess played out. He was meh on a day when most everyone else was hot garbage. Hes got a ways to go but he’s young and still growing. There are multiple other areas of our game that are more concerning.
