The Lamar, The Skura and The Coliseum

I've always wondered what it would feel like as a player (of any sport) to move teams in the off-season and then watch your old team go and win the big one without you.

Watching Lamar and this Ravens offense and the overall team ballin like they are to become 9-2, leading the AFC North and the Ravens being a team that is so exciting to watch this season; got me wondering, what in the hell does Suggs, Mosely, Zadarius and Flacco think about all this?

The nature of the current NFL, players chase the big paydays and leave whatever team they are on and take large amounts of money from terrible teams. Terrible teams with cap space continue to overpay in free agency which never leads to them winning a Super Bowl, only to cut a big name player one or two years later because they enter cap hell through free agency. Teams like us or the Pats play the 80/20 rule, use comp picks to our advantage and because of that are consistently winning every year. Jets signed Mosley to a big deal and he is now injured making that deal look terrible right now.

While we've gotten more out of Josh Bynes and LJ Fort at ILB for way, way, way, less than what the Jets paid Mosley. Flacco knew the writing was on the wall when we drafted Lamar and is injury unfortunately turned out to be a blessing as Lamar led us to the playoffs and now we are the best offense in the league one year later. Just sucks the way Joe's tenure in Denver was as he was set up for failure because Elway is inept as a GM.

Jarret Johnson found out (and after coming pretty close in his last season as a Raven). They should ask him what to expect on the emotional side of things.
