I didn’t realize that, it makes that pass that went through Jeffery’s hands and intercepted that much more depressing for those Eagles fans. They really needed to extend that Foles magic a little longer because they may be in for a little playoff drought starting next season.
Foles is on record stating that he wants to be a starting QB. However, the Eagles have a decision to make before Feb. 12 to pick up his $20 million option. Wentz has an injury history so a viable backup QB is needed. What do you do if you're the Eagles? Mind you, they're over the cap by $12 mil per OvertheCap.

Stunner: The #Colts are letting OL coach Dave DeGuglielmo go, sources say. That line made tremendous leaps this season. But Frank Reich wants his own guy. DeGuglielmo was the only offensive coach Josh McDaniels had hired. Reich is actually recommending him to other coaches.

Wow..... with the way their offensive line improved it doesn't matter he was hired by McDaniels keep the guy.

Luck had been only sacked 18 times so he must have taught the right things. But apparently this firing is based on the Denzel Goode story.

I'd bring the guy in, he did something right with their offensive line. He can help our line too.

Eagles coach Doug Pederson confirmed Carson Wentz "is the quarterback going forward."

This became a question after Nick Foles led the Eagles on another late-seaosn run including a playoff win, but the reality is there was not much of a decision to be made. Wentz is younger, will likely be cheaper for the next two seasons, and is a better quarterback when healthy. The when healthy part is certainly a concern following two injury-shortened seasons, but EVP Howie Roseman expressed "confidence in his ability to be our quarterback and to be hopefully a 19-game starter." The Eagles will likely look to tag-and-trade Foles this offseason.

Jets hired Gregg Williams as defensive coordinator.

Williams was somewhat of a laughingstock as Browns defensive coordinator in 2017, but he did a better job in 2018 as he served as interim head coach. Devoted to aggression and deep safety drops, Williams has coached just about everywhere and overseen some strong defenses, most famously the Super Bowl winning Saints in 2009. He has some interesting pieces to work with in New York, but he's inheriting a unit that was nothing special in 2018. He figures to butt heads with coach Adam Gase.

In another update, the Colts' Assistant OL Coach has left the team to take the OL Coaching Position with the Buffalo Bills.

The Bills announced that they have hired Bobby Johnson as their new offensive line coach. Johnson spent last season as the Colts’ assistant offensive line coach, working alongside Dave DeGuglielmo, who was fired as offensive line coach today.

This could be big news in Carolina as Panthers Owner David Tepper has said Cam Newton could sit out 2019 in order to heal if he needs surgery on his right shoulder. This is what he had to say......

“If you told me he took a year off and could recover and be fully recovered and everything else, and that’s what it took, an extra year, why wouldn’t you do [that]? Now we would have to do other things, right? We’d have to go out and get another quarterback… People get injured in football, and what we have to do is keep our options open just in case. Cam Newton is a guy we’re going to be depending on. He’s a talent. But it would be foolish to say you’re not having an awareness of potential things that could happen during the year.”

Former Falcons Head Coach Mike Smith is retiring from coaching. That feels odd to say, considering him and Harbaugh were both hired in 2008. Smith was fired and Harbaugh is still our HC and getting a second extension.

Well this is interesting, Jerry Jones says if he were to fire Jason Garrett would have five offers right away if he had been available. Now during a radio show appearance, Jerry was asked if he would commit to Jason Garrett being the Head Coach of the Cowboys in 2019. He then said this:

“Why would I put some kind of statement out that says this is what we’re going to do when we might have an opportunity here next week? This is the time when these things are thought about. This is the time when they are chewed on. This is when you may see an opportunity next week that you didn’t know existed this week in the area of personnel or in the area of coaching. And I’m not trying to be cute here. I’m just saying that one of the advantages that we have is that we can operate with that kind of flexibility.”

PFT speculates he could make a run at Sean Payton in which if the Saints win Sunday then he would have to wait another two weeks until the Super Bowl is done.
