He's probably wanted the opportunity for years. Do you remember a couple years ago when rumors were floating that the Skins were interested in him? He probably turned them down. That's just a hunch.

That being said, I wouldn't say he has no say. Pretty sure he managed the draft room, since that is his specialty.

It's just comical and I cannot even fathom ever being so petty and egotistical that you throw away $29M. Like, just don't be a dicker.
