unfortunately that may be correct. That being said, you and I aren't the Jets and they don't seem to do the right thing often now, do they?

no, we don't lose the pick. The estimate is that he has to play 3 or 4 games or else the pick drops one round. Currently it's a 4th round pick, but could be a 3rd rounder if he plays a game or two.
i think it was 2 more games before the end of the season for it to recoup its value as a 3rd - but its probably going to be a 4

it was suggested at the time that this might have happened - rudolph's clearly saying something - not an excuse but certainly makes some sense given the sequence of events
it's a shame that the players were conveniently not mic'd up

Suggested by whom? Garrett was asked on the night - said Rudolph didn't say anything.

some press speculated immediately after the incident happened - and it was rumoured but never confirmed that that was what garrett had told browns officials

I seriously doubt they'd wait for appeal hearing - they would have raised hell if that was what happened.

you would certainly think he would have said it to this point.
they have done it many times.
they've put people on the commissioner's exempt list but with the idea that recuperation and reinstatement was a possibility
they have upheld here an indefinite suspension which is unprecedented and im pretty sure is against their penal guidelines
