I have to say; this is an extremely shitty situation if you're the Ravens. I'm glad as hell they got Bowser and Williams, but maybe they don't target one of the two and get an Elfein or Feeney instead in the draft.

And now Orr gets to sign with whoever he wants to. That seems a bit unfair.
Just a side note (and kind of irrelevant), but until the draft, I always thought his name was Elfein. I never noticed the L after the f.

Zach Orr had calls from 8-9 teams after he became FA, since he didn't have RFA offer sheet from Ravens and never filed retirement papers. Visiting Lions, apparently encouraged by some new medical checkups on his neck issue.
I meant the team Who?

Dom got me on the right page.

This is a cool stat for Aaron Rodgers. He will be the only QB in NFL history to throw 300 TD's with less than 100 INT's.

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...rst-qb-with-300-tds-before-100-interceptions/

Considering he didn't begin starting until 2008 after sitting 3 years behind Favre, he presently has 297 TD's with 72 INT's. Flacco, in comparison over the same time period has 182 TD's and 117 INT's. We could have had Rodgers as he was still on the board in 2005 when we selected Clayton but, we were already loaded at QB with Boller and Blake.

I don't know if that's quite the word I'd be using for our QB situation at that point...

Raiders ink up another long term piece of the puzzle. Guard Gabe Jackson gets a 5 year $56M contract with $26M guaranteed.

It is also being said that Mack may have to wait until 2018 to get his contract.

given that he'll be a perennial dpoy for the rest of his career along with watt and donald i think it'll be a case where he the franchise tag will be good value so there's no risk he hits the free agent market even if negotiations stall between the raiders and mack in that offseason

Calvin Johnson is in the news and he spoke on the real reason he retired.

“That’s everybody’s goal, when they come to the league, is to win a Super Bowl,” Johnson said. “That’s the ultimate goal. … I wanted to win it, and like I said, I just didn’t see that opportunity [with the Lions].”

“I was stuck in my contract with Detroit, and they told me, they would not release my contract, so I would have to come back to them. I didn’t see the chance for them to win a Super Bowl at the time, and for the work I was putting in, it wasn’t worth my time to keep on beating my head against the wall … and not going anywhere.

So... he retired after signing a 7 year $132M contract that tied himself down to Detroit through 2019. He only had a year left on his rookie contract when he signed this deal. So if he felt the Lions weren't going anywhere why did he sign that deal?

Johnson was coming off a 1600 yard, 16 TD season and had just made the playoffs and had a monster performance against the Saints in the first round. The future was looking bright with a healthy Stafford finally playing.
