Guys...... The real solar eclipse just happened. Roger Goodell is close to a... FIVE YEAR extension through 2024. How?!?!?!?!
im surprised it was a battle - siemian was ok last year in his first year starting and lynch has showed nothing - the only reason there was a competition this camp was because lynch was a first rounder and siemian a 6th rounder (or something)
He also wanted Cook in the 4th before the Raiders took him...Here's something even more crazier. PFT posted an article talking about the fail trade up by Dallas to get Lynch. It was said that Jerry was willing to sell the farm to move back into the first for him. His son, Stephen had to tell pops no and not to do it.
Stephen also had to tell pops no to drafting Johnny Manziel in 2014. So apparently Jerry Jones is as good at evaluating QBs as the Cleveland Browns.
To be fair, who saw Dak actually coming? I really liked him coming out and would have really actually liked him as a backup here, but what he did was actually pretty unprecedented based on his college game.He also wanted Cook in the 4th before the Raiders took him...
Dunno, I didn't study QBs, so I can't tell. But your point is valid, it just grinds my gear that people will think Jerry is a genius when he's just a lucky idiot. To be fair, who saw Dak actually coming? Dak, from everything I read, was someone who you would expect to come in and be pretty good and play pretty efficient football, which is what he did. It's just, the record that he led the team to and the efficiency at which he did it was pretty surprising. I wouldn't be surprised to see him struggle without Zeke, though.Dunno, I didn't study QBs, so I can't tell. And I took Prescott. Thank you!Dak, from everything I read, was someone who you would expect to come in and be pretty good and play pretty efficient football, which is what he did. I just remember in the Mock Offseason, I was really debating hard between Cook and Prescott and I ended up going with Cook. Similar to how in 2014, I debated hard between Darby and Williams and ended up going with Williams. Sad thing is, I thought Prescott and Darby would be better, but went with the higher rated player. Sigh.

I have the worst luck. I remember Byron Jones before the combine. I told people he was my target in the fifth round. Then the broad jump happened...And I took Prescott. Thank you!![]()
And what a jump it was. He jumped all the way until the latter half of the first round.I have the worst luck. I remember Byron Jones before the combine. I told people he was my target in the fifth round. Then the broad jump happened...
Saturday News & Notes:
The Patriots traded for DE Kony Ealy and even moved down 8 spots in the draft with the Panthers to do so. Today, Ealy was cut from the Patriots.
The Bills sign C Eric Wood to a 2 year $21.5M extension.
The Jets have named Christian Hackenberg their starter for their third preseason game.
Meanwhile.... Blake Bortles was named the week one starter by Head Coach Doug Marrone.
Fun Fact: the Jaguars vist the Jets in week 4 on October 1st in what will likely help decide the Sam Darnold sweepstakes.
See that's the Patriots for you. If you aint good enough you getting cut. Unlike the Ravens I've seen the Pats release 2nd rd picks before they enter their 2nd year.
He has no dead money so why would they care about cutting him?
Yeah, but the 2nd round draft pick they cut in yr two probably never should have been taken that early. Who was that draft pick, btwThe point was they don't mind admitting a mistake or justify keeping a player cuz of a trade.

What Ravens player deserves to be cut that earlyI thought Dom Easley was a 2nd rd pick and got cut in year 2 but he was a 1st rdr cut after year 2. They've also cut other top 2 rd players before their rookie contracts were up several times. The Ravens don't.

Elam wasn't horrible in year one. I still feel unless thr player is totally worthless and isn't showing anything in practice, you should keep them. Art Brown wasn't a fit and should never have been drafted, so I agree there.Art Brown, Terrence Cody, Matt Elam???
