i think the problem there with bringing him to baltimore is that im not sure there's a role here for a capologist that doesnt already exist - certainly not at a VP of football operations type level - our senior team here is pretty filled up with guys we like - EDC, Ozzie, Pat Moriarty at executive level then you've got Joe Hortiz and George Kokinis on the personnel side with Vincent Newsome (who used to specialise in pro personnel) and we just added last offseason Nick Matteo (who's role is unclear but seems to be a specialist capologist and roster transactions guy who previously worked at the nfl office in a salary cap/CBA type role)
we lost chad alexander to the jets who's job was a senior personnel guy (like 1 wrung below hortiz and kokinis on the ladder) and has yet to be replaced but not sure that's a fit for a guy like Schaffer...
