Signings, Cuts, Trades

Why not just cut Chris Moore and activate this guy. I refuse to believe Dez would be worse than Boykin. Maybe equally bad, but can't be worse. And I'd assume he'd be a lot better. Imagine the offense with having a big bodied receiver they have to actually respect on the outside.

Everyone on this forum has been clamoring for this guy since last year. Really excited to see how he fits.

EDC is reloading for another run. Love it.

with the PS squad rules it makes a ton of sense - he's not played any live football since 2017, this is a way to ease him in and if he comes along quicker than expected then you can activate him on gameday or elevate him to the 53 when you think he's ready

we've only seen a tryout's worth of practice from him and it clearly wasnt impressive enough to get him a deal then so it was never going to be a spot on the 53

what this does tell us though is that he clearly wants to be in baltimore because he's willing to come join a practice squad to come and work to try and get himself back in the league

We took the extra long way around but we finally got him. Finally brought him home, he took a detour in Minnesota but finally made it back home to Maryland.

Now go get Julio Eric.

I dont know the new practice squad rules...would any team just be able to snatch Dez from the PS?

we can protect 4 PS players through each game week (must be designated each week) and we get to activate twice without him going through waivers - that being said he's still poachable on mondays after the game i think

but no team has signed him yet so its unlikely they would sign him of our PS at least until he plays in a game - and if he does well enough in that game to warrant interest then its likely we'd promote him to the 53 at that point anyway

i wouldnt worry about dez getting poached

It makes a lot of sense too as an extended tryout where you can even get him 2 games on the field if you wanted without having to commit to him.

Makes sense. I just want to see him in some game action lol and Chris Moore is literally useless.
