Ignoring the system part, Hurst is a very good TE. He just is not the game wrecker that Andrews is (and only 1-2 other TEs even are) or the blocker Boyle is.

absolutely are entitled to your opinion, but even if he is 60 to 70% of the player he's a huge upgrade for us as he's still a pro bowl player.
just saw this and laughed lol - the best offence in the league for TEs - he didnt produce because he was TE3 on the roster that's all

My friend you're slowly crossing the line into hostility towards our tiny God EDC.
we used our 2nd rounder to get to the bottom of the 1st round to select Lamar Jackson. This makes up for every 2nd round miss we have EVER had. that means we hit on the last two 2nd rounders since last years 2nd was part of the deal.

we're losing more than gaining so far in FA. we signed a 34 year old DT who will improve our pass rush a bit.
If we're done in FA then I'll consider it a failure with all hopes pinned on eric not fucking up ( ie no Justice hills or Jaylon Fergusons) in this draft.

I suspect its because his sack number was lower this year but sacks are a lousy number to judge a player by. He was still getting pressures and knockdowns and their defense was FAR better with him on the field and opposing QBs were FAR better with him off it.

Who else is super excited that EDC has a 5th round pick this year??
calais campbell is someone who as a pass rusher does things that we havent seen in baltimore for a long time - yes he's going to be 34 when the season starts but if he wasn't he'd be getting paid nearly 20m/yr - that's how high a level he's been playing at - so yes there's risk that he declines but if he plays at the level he played at last year we're looking at a pro-bowl defensive lineman who's on the cusp of the all-pro roster
