odd that this is ross tucker's takeaway but maybe us being so close to this game didnt let us see what was going on lol:
interesting take

Shit. Yea, keep him out of the Jets game.It could be a while depending on the severity. I’ve seen it take guys out weeks. IIRC that’s what they said Perriman had in “the lost year”.
A few thoughts here:
Jackson looked better in the second half. I think he was wearing a glove early? Not sure if he removed the gloves but he removed the sleeves. He didn’t have a great day rushing. He had a bad read and the designed call seemed to be a poor one. Didn’t like the hits he took either. Loved his throw to Hurst though, and he squeezed it tight in for Snead on that last TD.
Humphrey didn’t have the best game because he was late a bit and the WR could’ve caught the ball if memory serves right. I still love him but I didn’t think he had his best.
I didn’t like what I saw from Earl Thomas in run defense and this is a recurring issue. He is often overpursuing in the run and extending too far up and taking himself out of the play. It needs to stop.
I hated how we used Brown this game. It was terrible imo. I know the wind was a factor but come on man don’t call a play behind the LOS against the defense with Brown. I was worried he was going to get lit up back there.
The OL seemed to have some issues as well. We didn’t seem to contain guys as well as normal.
We don't need Andrews on a short week vs Jets. Let him rest and get ready for clowns and shitsburghBtw great news:Harbaugh said neither Levine and Andrews have serious injuries. Said both players told him they will play Thursday.
The slam down was a dumb play; just don't do that. The one I remember where the ref's tried to remediate after a bad one was where Earl Thomas was knocked into the QB. THAT was ridiculous, but the damage was done. And there in lies the problem...After the slamdown penalty i think, we got that one right after, which I don't remember what it was or what even happened as to why we got it. anyone have any clue if they know what I'm talking about? what that flag was even about?
Yeah I think we should let him rest especially if they’re without Adams. It would give him an extended time to get right before CLE. We will need him for that game.Shit. Yea, keep him out of the Jets game.
That’s what I figured on the glove. I get it with Brown but I hated the calls. Throw deep to him and make them play long and spread them out away from the LOS. Jackson can still win short but if we can free up the pressure it helps a lot. Definitely need another WR to threaten these teams.yeah he took the glove off too - said at half time he was pissed off so took both the glove and sleeves off and decided to just go play ball
but im giving a lot of credit to the bills defence - statistically the 3rd best defensive unit in the NFL and given the way we crushed that new england defence, probably the best defence we've faced outside of the 49ers and interestingly both of those games were affected by weather in some way - now if you want to win playoff games you've got to be able to deal with bad weather because it becomes way more likely this time of year
i know what we were trying to do with brown - try and get him into the game by force feeding him touches but this bills defence was all over the short game
He was terrible IMHO.If Roman calls another game like this in the playoffs , we will get beat .
I said the same thing about Hollywood. I hate getting him the ball behind the LOS.A few thoughts here:

Nah, that's way worse in Spain. It always was.In football (European) we call that an Italian flop.
Yeah I know regarding the bruised thigh. Just saying you never know how long it could take a guy out of commission. Just let it play out and don’t worry because not much can be done. As Agent 89 would say, “Ice up, son!” I think he will he fine for the playoffs (okay to say since we’ve clinched). I’d shut him down Thursday to get him extra right because we need him and Brown. If we can rest both Thursday then I would do that too. I like Roberts. Man, what a brutal hit he took.they also completely misdiagnosed it - it wasnt actually a thigh bruise in that case
if this is a thigh bruise - probably a dead leg type deal that was not responding well in the cold after it happened - probably just needs some treatment this weekend - more painful than actually a problem as long as they treat it straight away - depending on the severity he may spend tonight on crutches with his leg locked in a bent position to control the bleed but otherwise should be fine - he's gonna be icing it all the way to thursday
basically they'll be spending the first 24 hours trying to reestablish full range of movement and if they can then he'll be fine for thursday with some painkillers (and importantly him being able to play will not risk a re-aggravation)

Probably, I’d just let him rest but he will likely play if he can and so will Brown.i honestly think that unless he has a set back and the injury is what they say (and given that he already said he expects to play on thursday it probably is) that he'll be playing on thursday

That doesn’t matter as long as it supports his notion that Humph is overratedplus they are different types of CB and Humphrey fits our scheme. Not even sure I'd call that last play PI, considering he tripped.
Seemed pretty clear that the Bills were selling out to stop any runs and YAC opportunities, the good news is that most defenses don’t have the athleticism to match that.
We should be in the clear in the future
