Week 15 Discussion (Home Field Advantage?)

With the Ravens having played on Thursday Night and clinched the AFC North, that means Sunday is a little bit less stressful but still stressful none the less. Next on the list is securing home field advantage meaning we need a Christmas miracle from the Bengals and Drew Lock to upset the Chiefs in order to secure home field advantage by the start of the 4PM games. Only a few playoff clinching scenarios this weekend as many divisions are still up for grabs.

Patriots @ Bengals: The Bengals are just counting down the days until they draft Joe Burrow and the Pats are back to spying on teams again. Anyway, AJ Green is hoping for a Christmas miracle to play in the remaining three games of the Bengals season, and the Pats should clinch their playoff berth with a win this week while holding on to the two seed.

Bears @ Packers: The NFL's 100th season began back in September with a meeting between these two, and now both teams are looking for a ticket to the playoffs in their stocking. It's easy for the Packers, beat the Bears and clinch a playoff spot. For the Bears, they have rebounded nicely here toward the end of the season when there was much doom and gloom. If the Bears win this and the Vikings falter, we may see a win or go home situation between the Bears & Vikings who face off in week 17.

Texans @ Titans: Here we are with the first of two games that will determine the AFC South Champion, and the Titans have all the momentum while the Texans were hungover from thier Patriots victory and got trounced at home by Drew Lock and the Broncos. Both teams are healthy heading into this one, and the winner of this game gets a leg up in the division race while the other will see themselves battling with the Steelers for the last wild card spot in the AFC.

Broncos @ Chiefs: Much like the Titans, the Broncos are heading into this game against the Chiefs with momentum on their side as Drew Lock is now 2-0 as a starter and saving John Elway's tail as General Manager. We've seen the Chiefs slip up before against the Colts & Titans and they look to avoid the Patriots victory hangover the Texans suffered last week. Denver could very well spoil the Chiefs chances at earning a BYE, and if Mahomes' throwing hand is still affecting him, it could slow down the offense enough for Denver to pull off the big upset.

Eagles @ Redskins: The Eagles found a way to win in OT against the Giants with almost no receivers, a position they must address in the offseason. If Philly beats the Redskins, they move to .500 on the year ahead of the big week 16 showdown with the Cowboys. The Redskins are just looking forward to next season and their fans are hoping that someday a big scandal will force Dan Snyder to sell the team.

Seahawks @ Panthers: Congrats David Tepper, you fired Ron Rivera and it did nothing to change the outcome of the game last week. The Seahawks had the NFC West in their grasps but blew it to a Rams team who suddenly time travled back to 2018 and are playing better. Seattle should rebound hoping Atlanta upsets the 49ers making their week 17 showdown for the division title. Seahawks can clinch a playoff spot if the Rams or Vikings lose.

Bucs @ Lions: At this point, both teams are looking toward next year. Jameis may very well be playing himself into a second year under Bruce Arians as the team may think that will cure his turnover troubles and inconsistencies. Matt Patricia according to reports will be back for 2020, and it seems he may get one more year with hopefully a healthy Matt Stafford under center.

Dolphins @ Giants: The Giants currently hold the number two pick, and the Dolphins sit at the fourth pick. Both teams should be in great position to improve their team with top talent in the draft next year. For now, Eli Manning gets a farewell tour thanks to Daniel Jones' ankle and he almost pulled off the win last week in Philly. If Eli plays well enough in these final games, he could very well end his career with another team just like his brother Peyton.

Jaguars @ Raiders: This Sunday, the Raiders will play their final game in Oakland as a Franchise against the Jacksonville Jaguars. At 6-7, the Raiders are hoping to find a way into the playoff picture and give the city of Oakland one final playoff game as a send off before jetting to Sin City in 2020. The Jags seem ready for a new head coach and maybe a new QB? Nick Foles may get another chance under center next season but expect the Jags to be in play for a Quarterback to challenge Foles in April.

Browns @ Cardinals: The Browns also sit 6-7 with an outside chance at making the playoffs, while we potentially could see Larry Fitzgerald play his final home game for the Arizona Cardinals this Sunday. Cleveland cracked under the pressure of all the hype and crumbled faster than Freddie Kitchens could say Pittsburgh started it. On the bright side, at least Baker Mayfield has more time in the offseason to film more commercials.

Vikings @ Chargers: Philip Rivers is entering the final games of his career as a Charger, potentially. He is taking pride in beating up on lowly teams like the Jaguars despite the team being 5-8 and heading toward a potential rebuild next year. The Vikings look to be clinging on to the final spot in the NFC playoff race, and the return of Adam Thielen should provide a boost against the Chargers to secure the win on Sunday. These next three games are huge for Kirk Cousins who has shown he can't get it done in big time games. Vikings can't clinch anything yet but the division is still in play with a big game against the Packers next week.

Rams @ Cowboys: The Dallas Cowboys and losing to teams with a winning record go together like Santa Clause and Cookies. They lost to the Bills on Thanksgiving, the Bears last week who now have a winning record, and the Rams come to town boasting a winning record of 8-5. If Dallas loses, it opens the door to the Eagles ahead of week 16 and the Rams stay in the playoff hunt looking to knock the Vikings out of the playoff race in the closing weeks.

Falcons @ 49ers: The 49ers rebounded nicely with a road win in New Orleans against the Saints, and a win against the lowly Falcons clinches them a playoff spot this season. The 49ers look to build momentum toward the final week of the season as a showdown with the Seahawks for the NFC West awaits, and whether Dan Quinn gets fired or not on Black Monday remains to be seen. Has he done enough for Arthur Blank to give him one more year?

Bills @ Steelers: The Steelers removed all that drama from AB and Bell, down to their third string quarterback in Devlin Hodges and are right in the thick of things in the AFC playoff picture. Mike Tomlin is no doubt Coach of The Year, if the Steelers win this they could overtake the Bills for the fifth seed thanks to the H2H tiebreaker shaking up the seeding. For Buffalo, they need this win in order to stay with the Patriots in hopes of winning the AFC East this season. If Buffalo wins, they clinch a playoff spot and will make the playoffs two of the last three seasons.

Colts @ Saints: Monday Night Football heads to New Orleans where the Colts have themselves a new Kicker but it may be too late as if they had one weeks ago, they could be in the thick of the AFC South battle. The Saints look to rebound and stay in the hunt for a BYE with the Packers. Indy has an outside chance at the playoffs if they finish 9-7 but the Saints should eliminate them with a loss on Monday Night.

In case anyone was wondering, Jim Nantz & Tony Romo will be in Nashville for the Texans/Titans game, and if you watch the Broncos/Chiefs game then you'll get our favorite broadcaster Ian Eagle & *** *****. Andrew Catalon & James Lofton will be calling the Patriots/Bengals game.

never thought I'd say I liked a commentator less than Buck, but ***** gets that title. Love him as a QB though. Always enjoyed watching those Air Coryell offenses in the late 70s and early 80s.

Love the fact that we're censoring Fan Douts's name. He deserves it. It's also as maddening as NOT getting a game with Romo calling it. Travesty!

I'm looking at the TV schedule for the divisional round last year, NBC had the Saturday AFC Game(Chiefs were the 1 Seed) and CBS did the Sunday AFC Game(Patriots were the 2 Seed). We may not see Romo/Nantz until the AFC Championship Game if they stick to the same broadcast schedule this year.

do we even know the days we will be on TV if we are the 1 seed. I haven't been able to make any Saturday plans in January until the last week. LMAO

Go Texans, go Broncos, #WhoDey will be useless once more, #SKOL, #RaiderNation, #RedSea, and #BillsMafia. Eh....quite frankly? As long as we win next week, then it's all good.

Who are we rooting for in the Texans-Titans game? Nice to watch knowing we don't have anything at stake.

Texans blocked FG. Game is 0-0 to two of the slowest starting teams in the league.

I'm rooting for the Titans, but really don't care one way or another. Whichever is worse for the Steelers I'm cool with
