WR/RB Thread

Welp, Dixon is done. He's on IR. It's a damn shame. Dude is an great runner who always gets yards after contact, but he can't stay on the field. Hopefully Turner turns out to be good.

IR does not mean done anymore. They probably just placed him on IR because its early in the season and they don't have another way to open a roster spot.

They can just monitor his progress and designate him to return if they feel like he's ready to come back. That being said, he obviously can't be relied upon to stay on the field. We definitely need to target a RB in the draft next year to try and find a replacement.

This is true as long as the player was placed on IR after the cut down deadline. So he could be designated to return if he’s healthy enough.

As long as target means post 2nd round. Building a strong OLine is always more important than getting a good RB.

Absolutely. We definitely need to take a hard look at C/G in the draft while we can still find a RB with great potential in the mid rounds.
Michael Jordan from OSU moved to C from G, he was a borderline first as a G but if he’s a true quality C then he is a potential top 20 talent to me. He’s as athletic a guard as I’ve ever seen, serious freak athlete.

we need to invest in an rb anyway next year - buck is a free agent, dixon will only have 1 year left on his contract (and a history of missing lots of games) and Collins is RFA (which means he's a little more expensive)

so we'll be short at RB anyway and potentially really short so id imagine we'll go after one in the 2019 draft and maybe quite high up in the draft too

We drafted Jamal and Ray Rice in the 1st 2 rds and I don't believe we ever drafted anybody else that high and they've been our only 2 bonafide workhorses. So history shows it might be worth it. If Collins goes down it would be devastating.

I'll take a flyer on Turner, thinking he may be a good one.

Yes we do and buck shouldn’t be too expensive to resign or atleast one can only hope. That being said we will need atleast one vet and a drafted prospect.

I'm partial to LJ Scott for this team, but Harris is my #1 back overall. Yes, over Bryce Love. Harris does everything well, really good burst, speed, vision. I like him.
I feel like Damien Harris might be the rb i want us to go and get
Rodney Anderson from Oklahoma? I gotta dive deeper but I like what I’ve seen at first glance. Vision and decision making are ehh, but his size/burst/quickness combination is unreal

He's out for the season and has a deep history of injuries.
