I don't know how to feel about the future. I have doubts that we can replicate the success we had this year. I certainly have doubts if Ingram can replicate the production he had this year - he's 30 and seemed to wear down as the season ended. I think RB is a priority this offseason.
Hollywood is without a doubt the brightest spot on the offense besides Lamar, but we desperately need o-line help. We lacked an anchor last night. And as cliche and vapid as it may sound, the key to stopping our offense may have been found: force Lamar to run or throw to the boundary. I actually thought Lamar threw the ball well from the pocket into some tight windows. Receivers except Brown sold.
Coaching was porous. Had two-plus weeks to prepare for the game. Running with Gus 3 times and Ingram 5 times is inexcusable. Even though we were down, there's no reason to abandon the run when down one or two possessions. Lamar CANNOT throw the ball 60 times and expect to have a shot in hell to win a Ravens football game. Roman panicked and it was evident in his play calling.
Can't assign too much blame on the defense. They were put in tough positions the whole game. BWill was eating up the middle for most of the game. Ferguson must mightily improve. Tackling was a sore spot this whole year and last night accentuated it. Marlon is far from an all-pro as someone had said earlier. Edges lost contain a few times on bootlegs etc but thats a byproduct of Derrick Henry feasting. Not being able to rush with 4 men is a huge problem.
The future is bleak and bright at the same time. Idk how to feel. We are more than capable of controlling the division for some time. However, I seriously doubt we are the AFC's #1 seed next year, or even #2.
