Even Preston at the Sun is right for once. Without Lamar and Justin, this team would be going nowhere.
I see no other playmakers other than Oweh in the KC game. Where's Humphrey ? Hollywood? Andrews? They have been hit or miss.
I mean, for me, the first sentence basically described every team in the league though.
What does Green Bay look like without Rodgers? What do the Chiefs look like without Mahomes? If you take the best playmaker off the team, who's also your QB, I don't know that I could find a team in the league that would be anything other than average.
That being said, we kind of already knew this beforehand. We basically overhauled our pass rush group, which is a work-in-progress, the Dline really isn't a "playmaking" kind of group consistently, and Peters is your #1 play makers on defense, and he's out for the year with injury.
On offense, I'm not marking one game of bad drops as Hollywood not doing anything. He was great the first two weeks, and outside of the drops (which were bad), he's was very good against Detroit.
Andrews was obviously great against Detroit, and I think he's more of a product of teams scheming to take him away as Lamar's primary pass catcher in the first few weeks. Not much different than what we did with Kelce.
Preston should be smart enough to know (though he's probably not) that when some of your biggest playmakers (Dobbins and Peters) are on IR, it's not like most teams have a bench full of playmakers. If they did, they'd be starting.
