The Random Thought Thread

Even Preston at the Sun is right for once. Without Lamar and Justin, this team would be going nowhere.

I see no other playmakers other than Oweh in the KC game. Where's Humphrey ? Hollywood? Andrews? They have been hit or miss.
I mean, for me, the first sentence basically described every team in the league though.
What does Green Bay look like without Rodgers? What do the Chiefs look like without Mahomes? If you take the best playmaker off the team, who's also your QB, I don't know that I could find a team in the league that would be anything other than average.

That being said, we kind of already knew this beforehand. We basically overhauled our pass rush group, which is a work-in-progress, the Dline really isn't a "playmaking" kind of group consistently, and Peters is your #1 play makers on defense, and he's out for the year with injury.

On offense, I'm not marking one game of bad drops as Hollywood not doing anything. He was great the first two weeks, and outside of the drops (which were bad), he's was very good against Detroit.
Andrews was obviously great against Detroit, and I think he's more of a product of teams scheming to take him away as Lamar's primary pass catcher in the first few weeks. Not much different than what we did with Kelce.

Preston should be smart enough to know (though he's probably not) that when some of your biggest playmakers (Dobbins and Peters) are on IR, it's not like most teams have a bench full of playmakers. If they did, they'd be starting.

Not sure if The Ravens have the cap space or even want to trade for Mack. I guess he has the speed that the running back group is lacking but not sure if he's on the Ravens radar
Cap space wouldn't be an issue. Acquiring team would only owe him like $750K at this point.

The latter is what matters. Don't know how the Ravens would view him in this scheme, whether or not he's a significant upgrade over anybody we have, and most importantly, what kind of draft pick comp it would take to get him.

I never liked the pick. Those 1-year wonder prospects are always risky. Was hoping Cesar Ruiz fell to us and we get Logan Wilson in the 2nd round. Once Saints shockingly picked Ruiz, I get why we picked Queen. But I knew then Logan Wilson would never be ours. Such a bummer.

Watching this makes me mad.

I liked logan wilson also.. i never said much about queen because i just didnt see what everyone else was seeing from him.. right now though, he is at the bottom of the barrel when it comes to lbs

Stanley will not be requiring surgery, just rehab. Just got reported.

Hmmm I thought it would be more than that which sounds like something The Ravens could afford. I know I can't lol but would love to have it . Anyway Marlon Mack played in similar scheme/ offense in college back when current Raven assistant special team coach was his offensive coordinator if I'm not mistaken. I know it been some time since he's been in college but if The Ravens were interested in him I guess they could refer to Weist knowledge of him along with some college tape if they want.

promising - we still need to be really careful - there's absolutely no need to rush him back at all

agreed. Our back half of the schedule is the brutal part. I wouldn’t mind him just rehabbing until after our bye tbh

Hahahahaha! That's what you get for choosing Daniel Jones over Lamar Jackson.

were we ever really in consideration though? I thought we could never really afforded him and that he was just using our name as leverage at the bargaining table with the Giants. Just like Bell did with the Jets lol

If so then fuck him even more

I wouldn't be shocked if the PFT comment section was made up of 5 people with multiple burners. Then head to twitter and reddit and realize nope... There's really this many dumb people in the world. Shouldn't be that hard to tell from elected officials...

If bozeman is really playing well and can keep it up, i hope we resign him.. him and and averett.. sadly, they will probably play themselves outta here man.
