The Random Thought Thread

cowherd is one of the reasons why i stopped listening to all sports analyst.
He’s just there for the ratings and says things to raise eyebrows and get railings. I don’t care if he likes the Ravens, I just don’t like the guy and yes, there are a lot of so called analysts out there that are just like him.

Cowherd and all the other talking heads like him are just the human equivalents of "click-bait". I doubt that they even believe half of the shit that spews out of their mouths, but as long as it fires people up and gets views...

and this is why I don't even click on Cow-turds links and half the other talking heads.

Is anyone else a little concerned that Lasley is so far down the depth chart? I understand he's WR number 5 for sure, but he can't beat out Tim White for the returner job/reserve receiver?

He was never in contention for the return job. He’ll have his chance to prove himself. He’s a very late round receiver we can’t expect anything. That being said I hated that pick...

Anyone else find it funny on the ESPN power rankings they just flipped where Ravens and Steelers were (15-7)? To me it kinda felt like "oh maybe we had this backwards"

Lasley's biggest problem is his hands and you want him returning kicks? Bruhhhh....

Right now, Lasley is just an insurance policy for if anyone gets hurt. He has a ton of potential, but still needs a lot of work.

Our wr group is far from settled. I’m convinced Scott is mentally not nfl caliber, and lasley needs to be fucking SPECIAL to make up for his hands, which he could be, but I’m not sold yet(i do think he will end up seeing a healthy snap count probably by year 3 though). And unless we extend John brown and he stays healthy and we’re able to keep Snead, then we can’t just ignore the wr group. Hell if John brown doesn’t stay were already gonna need to address it.

I’m cool with all of those groups, except that next years safety class looks like ass so far.

I think the safety from Alabama Deionte Thompson and the kid Marvell Tell are probably the best two ive seen so far.

no - he's at the backend of the roster right now which means his best chance of playing is beating out chris moore on special teams which isnt going to happen - he's still the 5th receiver but he'll only get activated if a non-returner receiver gets injured

worst case he doesnt play much like willie henry in year 1 and we basically just found a way to stash a really talented but not quite ready player for a year

a lot of buzz about the ravens being the "most complete" team in the nfl all over the media this week so far
Perfectly balanced, as all things should be.

not sure if its been mentioned or matters but pff has mark andrews rated as the best rookie te so far

He’s definitely shown that I think. I don’t think many of us expected him to come in here and immediately contribute like he has. I’ve been impressed and can’t wait until we can get Hurst and Andrews on the field together. Talk about matchup nightmares

tbf the only real competition so far has been from will dissly, chris herndon and dallas goedert...

it would be awesome if the top 2 were both ravens come the end of the year

Its quite possible that happens, as long as Hursts foot healed properly.

im not nervous in terms of the season but im a little nervous as to his availability vs the browns given that he has not been designated as having been a full participant in practices yet... he's practiced every practice since he was able but they've all been as a "limited participant"

I noticed that as well
