I am sure I saw him drop one
They are VERY picky about what counts as a drop in the NFL.
I am sure I saw him drop one
The thing with drops is that most fans see a player get two hands on the ball, no matter how errant the throw, and assume automatically that it's a drop, but drops are only charted for catchable passes.I think it was the Raiders game. He caught it, but the defender hit him at the last second causing him to dislodge it. I don't know if that counts as a drop.
He’s certainly had drops because I’ve seen them personally, idgaf what they count as “not a drop” lolHere's a stat to trigger a large portion of the Ravens fan base-
Hollywood Brown has 45 targets without a drop so far this season.
I see the stat is doing what I expected it to do so far. He’s certainly had drops because I’ve seen them personally, idgaf what they count as “not a drop” lol
Well playedI see the stat is doing what I expected it to do so far.
Admittedly, it is an entirely subjective stat, so it's got some wiggle room for either side to be right at times.Well played
If that wasn't a drop nor was Lee EvansThey are VERY picky about what counts as a drop in the NFL.
I still remember a long discussion on one of Perrimans drops, where the board was split on whether it was a drop or not.The thing with drops is that most fans see a player get two hands on the ball, no matter how errant the throw, and assume automatically that it's a drop, but drops are only charted for catchable passes.
Additionally, I'd imagine circumstances where a defender dislodges the ball aren't counted, either.
But, I will admit that I didn't see this particular play.
Edit: I found that particular play.
He had to make a pretty big adjustment to the ball and was hit near immediately from behind. I'm sure that's why it wasn't counted as a drop.
For those saying it was, think of it like an error in baseball- getting a glove on a ball, but failing to reel it in doesn't automatically make it an error. It has to be fairly egregious.
Well I declare myself rightAdmittedly, it is an entirely subjective stat, so it's got some wiggle room for either side to be right at times.
If lee evans attempted to secure the ball and failed, it’s a good defensive play. But that’s not the case lolIf that wasn't a drop nor was Lee Evans

I seriously just read this and almost instinctively started yelling at my TVWhen you catch the ball cleanly and immediately turn and drop to the ground, does that count as a drop?![]()

Playoffs started and the sport is awful. I truly have no idea how they offer the contracts they do.Why is there random playoff Baseball games on in the middle of the afternoon on a Friday?
When else would you expect them to be on?Why is there random playoff Baseball games on in the middle of the afternoon on a Friday?
I have several friends that love baseball with a passion and it just confuses the shit outta me.Playoffs started and the sport is awful. I truly have no idea how they offer the contracts they do.
