The Random Thought Thread

For sure. Michel definitely wouldn't be as effective against our D and I think we could have gotten to Brady. It also would have been interesting to see BB's game-plan for stopping Lamar and our rushing attack. Guess we'll just have to wait for our regular season battle next year to see what could have been.
We might’ve held their run game in check but if Joey Bosa and Melvin Ingram can’t get to Brady, our team sure as hell cant.

You guys are kidding yourselves if you think it would’ve been a better game if we played them. You know damn well BB would’ve schemed things up to shut this Lamar offense down, which the chargers ended up doing anyway. There’s no reason to think it would’ve been a closer game.

We don't have superstars like that, but I think we would have had a better defensive game-plan that would have caused confusion and led to some sack opportunities. I just can't see any scenario in which our defense would have given up 35 points before halftime.

Yea thinking it would be different is insane. We surely would have done a bit better against their defense but no way the offense would have scored more than 10 in relavent time

i absolutely do think it would have been a closer game because we would have shut down Michel. Even if the Pats shut down our running game, it would have been closer.

I think we would have shut down their quick screens as well since our D can actually tackle (Chargers were missing a ton of tackles yesterday).

On the promotion of Roman ... I had not heard reports of other teams looking at Roman as a candidate for their open OC positions, but apparently there were some.

Sheesh. Harbaugh doesn't make a move that needs to be made, unless there is nowhere else to turn. If no one is coming after Roman, do we ignore the problems we have with Marty at OC and just keep forging ahead? Probably.

I also disagree with much of what I'm seeing in that Marty was dismissed simply because of 1 bad playoff game. The issues with him have been apparent for YEARS. The playoff debacle was simply the last straw, but even that might not have been enough if other teams weren't courting Roman.

He literally has to be forced to make a move every time. If you're just an average coordinator in the league and need a job then you're WISHING you land a job on Harbs' staff because you'll be set for the next 3-5 years.

Yea no way in hell they score anything more than like 30 on us but if the chargers could figure us out imagine what bill would have done

Harbaugh will have his sixth different offensive coordinator since the beginning of the 2012 season. Two were HC promotions, the rest were long overdue firings due to sucking.

Damn, I hope Roman works well AND doesn't end up getting hired away in 2020

Haha, that's a bit much to ask, we're talking Ravens here.

Yeah I saw that stupid Kalyn solar twat too, and I shared Edgar’s Michael Pierce breakdown to show clear examples of Brandon Williams specifically getting wrecked by single blocks lmao
Glad you showed that piece. That was a really great breakdown.

Now that Engram has been moved to TE coach, I’m wondering who Harbaugh has in mind for WR coach. Could we be moving Urban to WR coach where he has tons of experience and bringing in a qb coach or bringing in a wr come acl from outside the organisation. I believe it’s the latter but either one is a possibility.

Could move James Urban to that position but there also The Ravens coaching analyst T.J Weist who had plenty of experience with coaching wide receivers but mainly at the college level.
