oh, please don't remind me. I was at that game and on that side of the field. I was in the 20th row and could see he was out of bounds.

thats what I’m hoping for. I feel like that would help us with more home run type runs, which yeah we had a lot of big gashing runs, but the actual like home run type plays weren’t nearly as plentiful as you’d think, I think the payoff there would be a lot of those 20-30 yard runs we had would instead go all the way.

Do you remember when we played against the Jets in 2016? Moore was wide open and could've easily scored a TD but he dropped the ball. As a WR he's had a lot of very bad moments.

I remember when I said I had a feeling he’d end up here. I was so close to be being right. I just felt it for some reason. Damn. The #SIIE still lives on though. Don’t let this deter us!

lol - same cash for picks deal the saints tried (apparently there were other teams around seeing if they could make it work too)

but what it sounds like is the saints were doing all that manoeuvring but it would have been for nothing whatever happened because if that kind of deal was ok'd we would have done it with jacksonville and he would have come here lol

i honestly thought the ravens weren't that interested in him but i stand corrected
 
How would that sign and trade have benefited us? Why do that instead of signing him outright?

we wouldnt have had to take his bonus money - so clowney gets a bigger deal and more money than we can realistically offer him but still gets to play here and we could still fit him under the cap

basically we could give him whatever yearly amount and then jax would eat the dead cap hit from the signing bonus and we would take on just the base salary in the deal and in return give up a pick - probably a day 2 pick would be my guess

I would assume for eating 6m or so in dead money that they would want a 2nd round pick.

Maybe. I wouldn't trade a 2nd round pick for a one year rental on Clowney though, so if that was the deal, I'm glad it didn't happen.

I would have guessed more of a 3rd or 4th round pick, or a combination of said pick with a late rounder or even a player. Like a Bowser or Ferguson perhaps.
