ZDS playing very well in contract year.
What do we do?
Suggs is, I think doubtful for 2019. Smith has been mostly healthy and evidently improved a lot. Will our dilemma be solved by another team making an offer Smith's agent can't refuse?
I'm thinking it'd be nice holding onto player we developed for once.

If Suggs doesn't retire he likely returns on the cheap. He likes it here after all.

Za'darius is Harbaugh's boy, he won't let him leave.

I really do see some team giving him a boatload of money. Good pass rushers are really tough to find and he keeps improving. No chance he comes back on the cheap @Lost_In_Translation. If anything, we give him a pretty good contract

I hate how teams defenses are just rated by yards allowed. It would be great to come out with something like the Comdex ranking, but for football. The Comdex ranking is a composite score averaging the major insurance rating organizations, including A.M. Best, Fitch, Moody's and S&P. It's not a rating, but a ranking based on the average of all different ratings these different organizations give an insurance company.

Yes, football is not an insurance company, but we need something better and it shouldn't be that difficult to do either. I mean the Skins had the number 1 defense last week ranked on yards, but were not one of the best in points allowed. If we were able to average out yards allowed, points allowed, defensive turnovers, etc..... and then put them in a ranking after averaging out these scores with maybe weighting some categories heavier than others, it would make much more sense.

The skins were not number 1 in yards last week, it was the Jags. The reason the Skins had given up fewer yards total is because they had a bye week

you are right, they had a bye week, but that doesn't change my view that something better is needed and something better has been needed for quite some time.

You’re right that wouldn’t be tough at all. I like the idea, wonder why that’s not a thing. Because yards definitely don’t tell the whole story.

You must be a new fan.

When the Ravens first became a team in Baltimore they had three mascots. Edgar, Allen and Poe. All three were distinct and had unique personalities. ( to that you should already know that the RAVENS are not technically named after the bird, but after the poem by Edgar Allen Poe.

We had the three mascots for a few years, but somehow one off season Edgar and Allen mysteriously disappeared. With no details. It was quite suspect really....
Either way, it was cool having all three of them. I wish we still did.
Hmmm, I blame everything else on Belichick, so why not the disappearance of Edgar and Allen.

Does anyone think Bozeman can be a viable starter? He has some athletic limitations and pass vlocking issues but gets more push than Lewis and Skura.
