I'll admit to seeing limited tape and certainly there is upside given that he's in his rookie year but I'm not overly impressed with Brown at RT.

FWIW PFF has him as the 4th best rookie OL player in the NFL with the other 3 being 1st or 2nd round picks.

I have to disagree with you here and on many instances we agree. We did the right thing sitting Lamar behind Flacco and letting him learn and improve his mechanics. Sure we may have won a couple more games and not gone through the 3 game losing streak if we pulled him right when Flacco was starting to look like last like avg Joe again, but that would’ve been disrespectful to pull him that soon. Totally disrespectful

We were able to prepare him at the perfect time, considering Flacco’s hip injury happened right before the bye week. If Flacco doesn’t get injured, LJ is still the 2nd string and I’d be fine with that. I never had him playing this season anyway. I’m happy he is now though. However there is no sayings he would be doing this well if we started playing him four weeks earlier.

Like it’s not that hard harbs, just goddamn activate the guy and let him rush the passer, what is so damn hard about playing your best players, I don’t get it.

That’s how I see it as well. I don’t mind having Hurst at LG but I want a solid C like Gaillard there to take away some pressure. I don’t think Hurst is bad he’s just an average player who can get it done when needed and even excel depending on the circumstances. He’s definitely not trash.

I agree and I definitely don’t want any more of this double dip stuff. I think it makes it hard to get guys to immediately contribute and when we’re talking OL it’s very rare to have two rookies come in and start on the same OL and in our case they would start next to each other and further complicate it. I think that’s a quality often overlooked when people say go OL and hit it hard early and fix the OL. It’s just not feasible.

He had errors this week, but he’s been pretty damn good overall from what I’ve seen, I simply don’t recall him giving up pressures, and that right side has been a monster for our run game, lamar has done well when favoring the right side, the RBs have done well off the right.

2 straight plays of blocking outside in when yanda needed no help and giving the edge rusher a free run was horrible though. Idk what that was.

and on top of that Forrest Lamp has been mostly a healthy scratch all year

having seen what the chiefs edge guys did to these tackles surely it makes sense to get timmy active and rushing the passer again

Needed 20 points total from kamara thomas and lutz for the playoffs... and this is what the saints fucking do tonight.

I swear if I didn’t have bad luck I’d have no luck at all

he's coming off 2 major offseason knee surgeries tbf - but he's been a healthy scratch for the majority of the games

when asked about it Anthony Lynn has said he didnt want to disrupt the chemistry of their OL but their OL has been shit and Dan Feeney has really struggled - it seems crazy that they wouldnt have tried it unless he really isnt looking good in practice etc...

i mean i thought he was overrated because he kept getting mocked at 16 to us and i think there were better players on the board when he got picked at 38 but i also thought that was pretty fair value for him - he went about 4 picks after Cam Robinson (who i thought was a steal at that spot) and 6 picks after Ramcyzk (who I completely missed on in my draft analysis and had way too low on my board given that in hindsight he was clearly OL-1 by far)

Don’t complain, I had luck, fournette, ertz, saquan all score less then my kicker. Projected 120 and I scored 64
