I'll admit to seeing limited tape and certainly there is upside given that he's in his rookie year but I'm not overly impressed with Brown at RT.
I have to disagree with you here and on many instances we agree. We did the right thing sitting Lamar behind Flacco and letting him learn and improve his mechanics. Sure we may have won a couple more games and not gone through the 3 game losing streak if we pulled him right when Flacco was starting to look like last like avg Joe again, but that would’ve been disrespectful to pull him that soon. Totally disrespectfulI'd say expecting a different result after doing the same thing all over again was a bigger risk.
Let's be honest - it's not like he had a choice between Rodgers in a temporary slump and Lamar.
Huh? How much respect is enough? 3rd straight season of sub par play.I have to disagree with you here and on many instances we agree. We were able to prepare him at the perfect time, considering Flacco’s hip injury happened right before the bye week. If Flacco doesn’t get injured, LJ is still the 2nd string and I’d be fine with that. I never had him playing this season anyway. I’m happy he is now though. However there is no sayings he would be doing this well if we started playing him four weeks earlier.Huh? How much respect is enough? 3rd straight season of sub par play.
Like it’s not that hard harbs, just goddamn activate the guy and let him rush the passer, what is so damn hard about playing your best players, I don’t get it.Man, it sure would be nice if he could be activated and be THAT guy that really makes our defense potent this post season.
Set him out wide and cut him loose on passing downs.
That’s how I see it as well. I don’t mind having Hurst at LG but I want a solid C like Gaillard there to take away some pressure. I don’t think Hurst is bad he’s just an average player who can get it done when needed and even excel depending on the circumstances. He’s definitely not trash. If we get a really good center, we can go only for a development piece at guard. I don’t think you need 5 elite linemen but if we put hurst in between a very good center and Stanley I wouldn’t mind. The other guy can learn and fill in for yanda (try lol) and if he doesn’t develope it’s something we take a look in at a year or two from now. With no second round pick, I don’t mind going center round one but would prefer to add some talent else where with the 3rd
I agree and I definitely don’t want any more of this double dip stuff. I think it makes it hard to get guys to immediately contribute and when we’re talking OL it’s very rare to have two rookies come in and start on the same OL and in our case they would start next to each other and further complicate it. I think that’s a quality often overlooked when people say go OL and hit it hard early and fix the OL. It’s just not feasible.Bozeman was more than decent yesterday at LG. He might get more look at C as well. Hurst is OK at LG, can cover RT, Brown can cover LT (played it his whole college life) if Ron is out. I hope we don't over-react on O line this coming draft like we did with TE position. It's not like we couldn't use help elsewhere (WR1, interior pass rush, safety...)
He had errors this week, but he’s been pretty damn good overall from what I’ve seen, I simply don’t recall him giving up pressures, and that right side has been a monster for our run game, lamar has done well when favoring the right side, the RBs have done well off the right.I'll admit to seeing limited tape and certainly there is upside given that he's in his rookie year but I'm not overly impressed with Brown at RT.
Damn the same lamp that everyone was high on has been a healthy scratch all year? Didn’t know that...that’s surprisingChargers OL is still the weakness of that offence despite them addressing it
Sam Tevi at RT has been better than expected but still not great, Dan Feeney has been disappointing after starting the year well and particularly terrible in pass blocking, Okung has really struggled against speed rushers, they have a former tackle doing ok at RG but not ideal and pouncey doing well at C
and on top of that Forrest Lamp has been mostly a healthy scratch all year
having seen what the chiefs edge guys did to these tackles surely it makes sense to get timmy active and rushing the passer again
I thought he was overrated, I was all in on feeney thoughDamn the same lamp that everyone was high on has been a healthy scratch all year? Didn’t know that...that’s surprising

His tape literally indicates otherwiseMaybe he isnt good?
Tim williams right? His tape literally indicates otherwise
Don’t complain, I had luck, fournette, ertz, saquan all score less then my kicker. Projected 120 and I scored 64Needed 20 points total from kamara thomas and lutz for the playoffs... and this is what the saints fucking do tonight.
I swear if I didn’t have bad luck I’d have no luck at all
