I mean 2019 I would say the unit could reach the heights of above average. Stanley and Yanda are both top 5. I think Brown could become above average this year and I think depending on who wins LG they could be average to slightly below average.

The fact that Center is being manned by someone you could replace with a turnstile and get the same protection is a problem but the overall unit is average to above average

I’ll admit that I’m wrong if I am. But I fucking doubt it. There is nothing that I’ve seen that indicates that he won’t be anything more than garbage. He was bad at G, he was worse at C. He’s solid as a pass protector, he’s a fucking terrible run blocker.

College scouting reports of Bozeman in high school. ...spends way to much time on the ground.
NFL scouting reports of Bozeman in college....spends WAY to much time on the ground. Projection 6-7th round/Undrafted.
Scouting report of Bozeman a FEW WEEKS AGO at OTA's....spent a majority of it on his ass!

On another topic barring an injury, are we seriously thinking about carrying 11! DB's this year?? And dont be so quick to cut Canady recent video shows him running stride for stride with Moore playing well.

we are easily keeping at least 11 dbs - maybe even 12 and canady may have been running stride for stride with moore but he also featured getting left for dead by jaleel scott on a long bomb

Tape of Bozeman in college: powerful center who is athletically somewhat limited but could be a ten year starter

Tape of Bozeman last year: powerful but needs to work on a lot. But could start and has a lot of room to grow.

Again. Give me a break.

that's all true but im not gonna lie the ending up on the ground happened way too much and is a pretty big deal

i really dont hate skura as much as you do - skura's a consistent player in our system - the problem is if we have hurst and skura both starting next to each other - skura has some qualities that make him a not awful prospect as a starting centre as long as the LG isnt Hurst/Lewis

ill be livid if we are starting both Hurst and Skura but fully expect Skura to be the starting C at least for week 1 - basically im hoping that Powers has a blinder during training camp or Bozeman sorts himself out and either of them win the LG spot next to skura

They aren't. They have no upside. Hurst has maxed out, and he's fucking trash, and Skura really hasn't gotten better.

Skura has no upside, he cannot anchor, and he is an utter liability in one facet of the game. There are 22 Cs in the league I'd rather have over him. The definition of below average. He's solid at best in pass protection(and even then he has his slips), but he's such a liability that he shuts down your running game. Want proof? Look at the first half of the year. Watch the Kollmann video or any tape. Watch most reels where he's getting beaten like a drum.

To say he is serviceable is a blatant lie. He shouldn't be anywhere near a starting spot. Yeah, he's consistent, consistently awful as a run blocker.

And don't give me your "it's hard to find talent at the NFL level on the oline". We've invested 2 total picks in the past 5 years in the first three rounds of the draft on offensive line. Both have been massive successes. It's the organizations bullshit. This oline will not be successful with Skura as the C. I've been mocked for dogging on Hurst and Skura for the past three years and the funny thing is I've been right that they both suck every damn time. Only reason the run game worked back half is because of a gimmick, the Chargers agreed so they shut us down by hitting us where it hurt most and adding more speed to compensate. It worked.

I'm not asking for an all pro at LG or C. I just need a guy who isn't a liability and single-handedly tanks half of the game. Bozeman has a lot to work on. But he's got upside. Skura doesn't. We know what he is, not a good football player.

I'm sorry, but if he's starting have fun running the ball up the middle. Teams have caught onto gimmicks. If one player is affected that badly when the other is about equal to them, then they both suck and they both need to go

Being constantly terrible is not exactly a badge of honor.

If I had to be generous I would say he looks okay against players with little strength but if they do he might as well not even be there.

All the outlets I checked say he's on the ground alot and pretty much insinuate that he sucks. Who said hes a 10 year starter? That statement alone sounds silly even for a 1st round pick.

I'll say this much if he doesn't fix those same issues soon like real soon your lil man crush wont be starting here. May not even have a roster spot.

He'll be well anchored on his couch.

I don't think you get an average C for that. The only LB asset the Ravens have worth anything is Judon and he is untradable at the moment due to need.

Teams aren't parting with good OLine talent that they have under contract because few teams have complete OLines and none have that AND depth.
