Once elliot isnt here anymore, i better not see anyone down talking him lol.. everyone better be saying “ we lost a great player”
But nobody suggested he's a great player now, so this post makes no sense logicaly.

If he's not here next year, it'll be a combination of a number of factors really. Either he doesn't play well this year and the Ravens want to upgrade (possible), he plays super well and plays himself into a high market value contract that we can't or won't match (he's probably not that high in the pecking order of contract extensions), or he's the exact same player he is and he gets more money elsewhere.

Everything is on the table with Elliott.

none of us have said we would lose a great player by not extending him. Does he fit our scheme, yes, but I won't think twice if he isn't extended in the offseason.

I love each and every one of you mofo’s. Ravens brotherhood for life!! #RBFL
This has kinda reminded me that I feel like apologising to you for hitting you with the triple dislike last night. I first read those comments and thought they were really catty, and then as the evening went on I kinda came to the realisation that my bad mood was probably adding subtext that you didn't put there. So yeah, sorry about that. They're gone.

Anyone think that Big Ben will be anything other than a complete detriment to the Steelers? Has been ever been benched for poor play? Does Dwayne Haskins have what it takes to succeed in Pittsburgh even if only short term?

he will be a detriment, but more so as the season goes on. Not sure if he has ever been benched for poor play. I don't think Haskins has what it takes to succeed, unless that is celebrating with fans before the game is over.

If he isnt here next year, its cause he isnt worth keeping which he isnt. Wont be surprised if he loses his job during season

Ehh, not really. There's a lot of good players who leave that are worth keeping. We just either get outbid or don't value them as much as somebody else. How do you think ET got a gig here? He got one because his money was earmarked for Mosley, and we got significantly outbid (and panicked in signing him). DeCosta effectively conceded this.

Can't really see who he would lose his job to. He doesn't really have any competition. I mean I get some people like Stephens in that sort of hybrid/Safety role, but I don't really think anybody expects him to compete for a starting job this year. He's pretty raw.

Well they took a RB in the first round, so they're going to run the ball a lot more it seems. That certainly can't hurt them.

I think he'll be the worst QB in the division, but I don't think he'll be like bad and/or will get benched. I think it'll just get to a point where they become glaringly aware that they'll need a new starter for 2022.

He'll hurt them if they continue thinking his noodle arm and short passes are going to get them anywhere in 2021. They will run more sure but their offensive line has questions. We hit a really good streak of the next big quarterbacks from the 2017-2021 drafts and the fact the Steelers ignored the QB position to truly find his replacement is blasphemy as Stephen A would say.

No it's not Haskins or Rudolph, so unless 2022 ends up being a good Draft class for QBs chances are Haskins or Rudolph will be starting for them next season if Ben retires finally.

Hopefully we'll get some down years from them before they find their next Franchise QB.

Except you, I don’t like you… nah. Just kidding. Favor returned my man! Respect

Decastro is available. Idk if he's still as good as 2 years ago...
He would be well, well, well out of our price range, which is essentially $0 at this point. I think he'd be better than Zeitler and one of the better Guards in the league, who won't be on the market long. But he won't be a Raven.

Also reports from NFL network is that he's got a badly injured ankle for a long time and is strongly considering retiring.

think it's more about that last point than the 1st one

Maybe. If he gets healthy and wants to play, he'll likely get $8-10M a year from anybody who wants him. At 31 he could still play another year or two at a very high level. And obviously that's a price point we wouldn't come close to.

All just depends on what he wants.

I was one of the ones that wanted Yannick if we had the cap space to sign him, but i wanted Bowser before both. He was the most important of the three.

I'm also one that always values draft picks over free agents, especially when we are trying to keep a team together with a large contract to be paid to Lamar soon. I think this though process comes from my time as a skins fan where all they did was pay large dollars to free agents and trade picks away. lol

Im so happy lamar doing this shit alone along with his mother.. i dnt understand why people would even give an agent that much money. Its thousands of contracts out there, just look at the ones that was set up good and boom.
From “ failed interviews” to “ cant understand what he saying” to now doing shit on his own.. boy if yall only knew how much i relate to this mf

I love how our team is ran.. watching these mfs over the years really make me feel like that if its not ran like this, teams are doing it wrong. Im happy we dnt do what skins have done in the past lol. Now we got decosta for atleast the next decade so the marathon continues.
