The Random Thought Thread

The schedules for the AFC North the rest of the way is quite insane. Like somehow one win down the stretch for us could win us the division at 9 wins I feel like.

Ravens: Packers, @ Bengals, Rams, Steelers
Browns: Raiders, @ Packers, @ Steelers, Bengals
Bengals: @ Broncos, Ravens, Chiefs, @ Browns
Steelers: Titans, @ Chiefs, Browns, @ Ravens
 
surprisingly calm after yesterday, I think the loss to Steelers bothers me more.
I think that at this moment and considering the future, it is good that Lamar benched a few games.
His mind is elsewhere, he himself said that there are pitches that he did not take out of fear, he needs to clear his mind.
Huntley did it well, there is no better player to play than Lamar, technically he is not lamar, but he sticks more to the calls, he will not do crazy things, I think we will be fine with him.

This was an odd week for me. Dalvin Cook went from not playing to his best game of the year. Then half my team went down with COVID. Then Hunter Renfrow, aka Brandon stokely 2.0 aka white lightning , held it down for the WR room.

This exciting fantasy week will hopefully take the sting out of the inevitable beat down the Ravens are about to take at the hands of Aaron Rodgers

i was genuinely shocked when freeman had that 20 yard run and it wasnt called back - was waiting for that flash of yellow and then the inevitable "holding, offence, number 78" (sometimes 74 instead)

Yeah I chuckled on the one call yesterday. They showed him arguing with the ref then they showed the replay. It wasn’t holding it was a mugging and a takedown. Lol
 
One thing I find interesting at this point in the season is that Ben Cleveland is no longer rotating in at LG since he came back from injury. They've literally tried to do everything they could to get Powers out of the lineup prior to that and now that idea seems to have gone by the wayside. Would be curious if that's an indictment on Cleveland and what they think he can offer the rest of the year or if it's just related to Powers playing "better" in their eyes.

Probably a combination of both - maybe too late in the season after the injury for them to reasonably think that Cleveland could develop even with live reps

and there’s a reason teams normally don’t rotate OL
 
Did you guys see that Andrews has broken the franchise record for single season receiving yards by a TE? Edged out Todd Heap (855) and himself from 2019 (852). What a pick that guy was.
 
Had Michel half the damn season sitting on my bench getting no reps. drop him and he becomes the starter. I hate fantasy and real life.
 
I don’t want to see Twatkins in 2 WR sets anymore. Hollywood and Bateman need to be full time from now on
