The Random Thought Thread

Yeah Mr Jacket lost me... he rather not make it to the RZ at all because we manged 3 pts when running. So he rather pass and not get close idk.. dudes logic is off on this one
I'd rather not make it to the end zone than take 8 minutes to get there and then fuck up the opportunity to get there. Got a much better chance of scoring via passing from beyond 20 yards than running. Even with Huntley.

None of them were perfect? None of them were good except for Gary Kubiak. Harbaugh's OC hires have been a litany of shite, and if he ever fires Roman, his next OC will be shite too.

I think Cam Cameron was good for the first three years, Jim Calldwell definitely deserves credit for his play calling during The Ravens super bowl run, Gary Kubiak did this thing but I still think he was only liked because he lasted only one year with The Ravens, Marty M deserves credit for how he handled rookie Lamar Jackson which helped The Ravens reach the playoffs and I think The Ravens offense was ranked 9th overall that year, and then there's Greg Roman whom Ravens seems to dislike a lot even though numbers at times doesn't always match the opinion of him.

I feel like Ravens fans think John Harbaugh is Jeff Fisher and hired coordinators like Feddie Kitchen or Rick Dennison or something which is not the case at all but hey it is what it is.

1 big run and none of that thought process matters and this team is capable of not one but many big runs from many positions, it’s what makes our run game different when we use it well and execute. We can score on the ground as fast as many teams score through the air, jk dobbins even with the injury is dangerous, duvernay has been trash but rushing is his specialty, Gus, Drake, even Huntley, these guys can tote the rock and break big ones and all it takes is one guy to make a good block and them boys can take it 20+ and I’ll even throw in andrews and likely on flat routes and bubbles with blockers ahead.
And we put Drake on inactive list.

Surely you did not just call Roman the best OC we’ve had….

Sure did. Roman won offensive assistant of the year in 2019, in his offense Lamar Jackson won MVP, his offense was ranked 6th overall in 2021 which included Lamar Jackson not finishing the rest of the season along with no Dobbins and Edwards , and up until this year this probably the most explosive offense we seen as Ravens fans.

Lolz... and remind me again what happened in the playoffs in 2019? You Roman lovers love bringing up 2019, wanna repeat 2019, yet conveniently forget that without WRs/passing attack, we fell flat on our fucking faces in the first game of the playoffs

Seems like you really don't have a good argument why Roman isn't the best ravens offensive coordinator The Ravens have ever had butt ok Sizzle .

And none of you have any reason on why 2019 was a great year for us. Great regular season? Fine. Sure. Great YEAR? Hell no. It was actually a terrible year. A 14-2 team should NEVER lose in their first playoff game and it still be considered a great year

I personally think that team overachieved but thats me.

1. The Ravens and Roman will "mutually part ways" at season's end with Harbaugh staying. 2. Lamar will also stay getting most of if not all the money he wants. 3.Based on the above the next OC really has to have pass scheme ability and the Ravens need to trade for a viable WR who has the potential to be a #1. They are poor at developing WR's so they need someone good to go. Jackson is not a great passer so they need talent at the receiving end. 4. Huntley is no Brock Purdy. If Jackson keeps getting injured the final third of the season, they will need a better QB2, and/or an OC who can scheme the plays to suit his strengths. Overall, they may need a simplified offense regardless.

Why is it distinctly different? Are you banking on breaking off a 30-40 yard TD run to score points? Because that ain't happening.
The red zone is kind of the only thing that matters, because you'll need two TDs in the red zone in order to win.
Seems wild that I even have to explain this to the self-proclaimed smartest man here, but the goal is the get the ball down the field and into the red zone so that we can hopefully get those points. We sure as fuck were not doing that by passing the ball. Maybe we self destruct in the red zone again but that's literally impossible if we can't get there in the first place. If my goal is to get to the red zone, running the ball was the unquestioned best opportunity to do that. It's really not that hard to comprehend. The red zone stats you keep throwing out don't matter for shit if we don't get there in the first place. Running the ball was the reason we had opportunities in the first place. It doesn't matter that we squandered them. Again, that's a completely different argument.

This is exactly it. The chances of Dobbins in his current state busting out a 30 yard run to put us in a better position were significantly higher than Huntley throwing for 3 downs and even picking up a first down, let alone 30 yards. We literally saw the passing offense struggle all game. It's not like it was suddenly going to click.

The bengals are really feeling themselves.
“The future is now old man” lol

No, they are not! Brady earned that beatdown and "L" yesterday because of what he said about the Bengal's defense being "fairly tough" in his presser last week. You know what type of woman that they say payback is like.
