Tomlin is overrated. He was blessed with a HOF QB and some of the best defenders to ever play the game. All of that equated to one Super Bowl win
Then you add in his teams consistently have selfish individuals acting like divas Wallace, AB, Bell, Ju Ju, Johnson, Pickens etc…. He’s got culture issues up there

I think them having only one SB win during his time there has more to do with the stiff competition in the AFC. How many times did Brady and the Pats knock them out of the playoffs prematurely? Regardless, Tomlin almost always has the Steelers either in the playoffs or competing for a playoff spot until the very end. You can say he's overrated all you want, but the results say differently

I mean not Hall of Fame as I shouldn’t have asked it that way but can he be another Lamar Jackson? I didn’t mean to come off as to brag or anything.
Understood. Love has played well as of late. Now I don't watch much of the Packers but how do you feel about your WRs? I hope your FO isn't continuing their arrogance by neglecting that position and solely banking on the development of Doubs and Watson.

Guessing you are talking about our last game(2 passes, one game), and what you're saying may be true. No question there's times where the issue lies with the receiver. But I think most you talk to recognize Lamar's deep touch has been off this year.

Here's a video I stumbled across looking at 3 passes from the Browns loss. The one I see as catchable here was actually an under throw and most likely completed had it been placed out in front of Keaton.

Dog idk why anyone wastes their time arguing with him about Lamar lol. If that stat or whatever was about Flacco he’d thoroughly and deeply analyze it and defend him till the death. I don’t even take what he says about Lamar seriously anymore

What results are we really referring to ?They’ve made the playoffs twice since 2018 and both were blow out losses in the WC. Now they’re positioned well to finish 3 or 4th in the division for the second straight season. Now, without Ben, Tomlin is just another guy.
The value of a head coach is so greatly exaggerated in this league. It’s all about the players and general managers that draft them.

Same story for BB in New England without Brady. Even Harbs, you think he survives with out a Flacco or Lewis or Reed? Once those guys left and Flacco began his decline in 2015, Harbs was well on his way out the door had it not been for Lamar saving him.

Tomlin is a good coach man, I used to say otherwise but he’s proven year in and year out to keep his team competitive despite some of the worst mismanagement in the league, outside of their WRs and pass rush they’ve been an embarrassment of a FO

his deep passes are usually over thrown so even though its basically catchable, because its thrown in the field of play and out of the defenders reach, its also out of his wrs reach too..
Chargers game for example

miss deep ball to obj
then a good deep ball to zay who didn't catch it
that's one catchable and one not catchable

the thing is he barley throws it deep so when he does its more noticeable if he misses

the way you are stating this could be said about any coach in the history of the game. All the great ones except Joe Gibbs had a franchise QB and he had a franchise OL. Every coach has something and if they don't, they won't win....period.

The Steelers' roster has been pretty bad for the past couple of years and yet they've still been in the thick of things for what's been a very competitive AFC North. Any coach would fall back to "normal" if they lose their HoF QB and their GM hasn't found a suitable replacement yet (Pickett still has time to turn it around, but so far has not proven to be the answer). The fact that the Steelers have still been as competitive as they have been is a testament to Tomlin and his coaching staff getting the most out of what they do have

The job of the coach is to get the most out of the talent provided but if that talent is awful then there is nothing the coach can do.

I think a good example of how important coaching is can be seen with the Chargers. Nobody can honestly explain why the Chargers have not been Super Bowl contenders the past couple seasons. They have an elite set of weapons, a great RB, a great QB, elite defensive players, and cannot win because they just cannot use them to their maximum potential. That is the job of a coach and yet the coaching for the Chargers simply cannot do their job.

There are Bengals fans saying it's still technically possible they can get the 1 seed lmfao

No, that deep miss to OBJ should have been caught. It's been talked about heavily and the miss lies at the feet of OBJ, not Lamar.
