Don't you see a contradiction there? If the goal is playoff, why consciously ride with injured Joe, having in mind he didn't play well even before the injury? Lamar gives us hope, with Joe there's none.well that’s the point lol. We haven’t seen much of him and like I said it’s due to his lack of opportunities. If your goal is to make the postseason then you just have to ride it out with Joe until the season ends or until you’re matchematically eliminated, unless you know for sure that he gives you a better chance to win if Joe’s injury is worse then anticipated.
You mean in the way Flacco hits it on a regular basis? So I finally found time to really watch that link and all pf the throws he made were the basic throws that he always could make (the Hurst TD was boarderline but it was still middle of field strait line throw without a need for an accurate placement which he could hit in college.
My knock on him is that he throws ducks when throwing to a WR from the pocket. I'm not talking Rodgers deep ball just a basic 15 yard throw to Brown for instance I have yet to see something telling me he can hit that throw.
Traits fam, traits. So I finally found time to really watch that link and all pf the throws he made were the basic throws that he always could make (the Hurst TD was boarderline but it was still middle of field strait line throw without a need for an accurate placement which he could hit in college.

It’s because people are looking for “wow” moments rather than seeing the fine points and knowing how to cross reference the difference between old and new filmthat's why i dont understand all the people who fail to see the progress - lamar had these opportunities in preseason and didnt punish defences but the improvement is there with his delivery and also his mental understanding - he showed us some traits and a comfort level that is really encouraging
i mean come on - vs the bills he threw late on a route one time with slightly off ball placement to a tight end coming through a zone, 1 drive later he's worked out what to do and the ravens run something similar with a different tight end (maxx this time i think) and he nails it
Yup, banged up on top of a string of very shitty performances. It's a no brainer to play someone else right now.If you think joe should be starting after the past several games he’s played you’re not thinking clearly.
Or if Joe can't play you go with Rob who is a known quantity with NFL experience, at least until you are eliminated from the tournament.well that’s the point lol. Let it go. He needs to hold a clipboard for Lamar. Tablet, actually - it's modern times.Or if Joe can't play you go with Rob who is a known quantity with NFL experience, at least until you are eliminated from the tournament.

So... with this team, you’re counting on RG3 to finish the season 5-2 or 6-1 because you wanna hold out hopes for the playoffs...Or if Joe can't play you go with Rob who is a known quantity with NFL experience, at least until you are eliminated from the tournament.
His pocket climb on the hurst throw was beautiful, that pocket poise and awareness is something we’ve literally never seen from Flacco, if that’s joe he’s staying 5 steps behind center until the backside rush is in his lap and sprinting left and throwing out of bounds, like almost for certain, that exact struggle on that exact play is a routine thing for joeid say that hurst throw made me "wow" - in fact the efficiency of that whole drive made me "wow" with how easy he made it look - yes he was playing some backups but that hardly matters when he's also got a load of backups on his side too and that he looked vastly different to preseason and even vs buffalo
LMAO! yeah, no.....way off base and dead wrong, has zero to do with anyone being "infatuated" with anyone, that's just something someone made up because they don't like my opinion. What I want to see is the Ravens make the playoffs and the IMO a healthy Flacco gives them the best chance at doing that. If he's not 100% then IMO Rob gives them the next best chance at winning. If they are eliminated from the tournament then I could maybe see giving LJ some playing time for the experience. BIG NEWS FLASH HERE...... Lamar has a ton of potential and ALL RAVENS FANS hope he eventually pans out, but you don't pin your efforts to make the post season on unproven hopes.So... with this team, you’re counting on RG3 to finish the season 5-2 or 6-1 because you wanna hold out hopes for the playoffs...
And you think he’s got a better chance than lamar? Based on what exactly...
Big newsflash here, rookies can play, I know you’ve grown so used to the Harbaugh way so you also think rookies should all be redshirted, but that’s not the case. Rg3 gives us a 0% chance of making the playoffs just like lamar and joe give us. The difference is one is our future and the other is a proven bust.
You are so infatuated with Flacco that you literally want lamar to fail/never see the field. You would prefer to see joe get his hip shattered and lead us to .500 at best, or see RG3 do the same, than to see lamar come in and bring a spark.

Marty trained him and brought back all the promise from Bob's rookie year.but what i dont understand is why you think RGIII is a better shot to win than Lamar Jackson given that RGIII hasnt started a game since 2016 and didnt play football of any kind through the whole of the 2017 season
Pretty simple. He has played in the NFL and has been successful as a starter. LJ's last start in a meaningful game was at the college level, and it wasn't so hot. Of course we know he as improved but we have no idea how he will perform under pressure when it counts. I'm also pretty sure Rob has learned and improved in that time as well and is the better option at this point.but what i dont understand is why you think RGIII is a better shot to win than Lamar Jackson given that RGIII hasnt started a game since 2016 and didnt play football of any kind through the whole of the 2017 season
I was watching the Good Morning Football group discuss this and one of them was saying he didn't think Lamar was ready to start because 'If he were ready, don't you think he'd be playing by now?". Um, you do know who our head coach is, right? All we could do is assume Orlando Brown wasn't ready to play ... until he was forced to play ... and showed what many suspected - that he was our best option at RT. Even after that, we all sit around wondering if he gets benched and we go back to the same old configuration that hasn't been working well all season.So... with this team, you’re counting on RG3 to finish the season 5-2 or 6-1 because you wanna hold out hopes for the playoffs...

In what world do you think we have a realistic shot at the playoffs? We still have to play the chargers and chiefs on the road which are almost certain Ls and we are an egg laying team and we will lay another egg at some point. We aren’t gonna finish 5-2 with joe, rg3, or lamar, and if it comes down to rg3 or lamar, I have absolutely no idea why you think rg3 gives us a better chance. If our offense takes off with rg3 at qb it will almost certainly be because rg3 might boost the run game, and that involves a shitload of moving parts too, and if the run game and read option playbook is what saves our season, give me lamar over rg3 all day, lamar has always been more poised and aware in the pocket, he looked more nfl ready at Louisville due to his pocket presence than rg3 looked 2 seasons in, and as a runner they aren’t even in the same universe.LMAO! yeah, no.....way off base and dead wrong, has zero to do with anyone being "infatuated" with anyone, that's just something someone made up because they don't like my opinion.
