Joe Flacco

I disagree with the notion that that one week should allow him to get up to speed, but at the same time I'd rather have a rusty Flacco the first few weeks with a fully healthy back then have a rushed back Flacco with a much higher injury risk. I've been saying since the "two year plan" became obvious. If Flacco isn't here, the plan is utterly pointless. We can't win a super bowl without him.

That said, I still want us to upgrade the fucking line, but it actually looks good in pass protection, lessening my worry.

I'd like him to be more energetic and accurate too but it's unfair and flat out delusional to expect him to be 100 percent by game one. I'd be surprised if he was "100 percent" by game four.

I'm not insinuating anything just stating what I believe will take place. Of course Flacco will be rusty. The dude hasn't practiced or played with the 1st team nor ran a series in the preseason whatsoever. Therefore, when he is off vs the Bengals and on the road at that... and he will be...no doubt, the multiple "excuses" for it will fly. The delusion is not thinking that one of those excuses in his defense will be to place the blame on the receivers not running the right routes or getting separation etc.

Only two year plan i see is that harbaugh and ozzie has two yrs to turn the team back around

Considering he arguably has the best receiving corps he's ever had this year, that excuse will likely not fly for me either. The receivers also are a good fit for Marty's offense.
 
Of course he will be rusty but who cares? The first 3 games are the Bengals, the Browns and the Jaguars, who all stink. Those are 3 bad football teams. We need him week 4 by which point he should be fine.

All three of those teams have good defenses and the Bengals have a lot of offensive firepower(with no oline granted but still). Don't act like they're a walk in the park. While I do think we win all three games, it ain't going to be easy

The Bengals are winning 5 games this year, the Browns 4-5 and the Jags 5-6, these teams are not good. They are worse in every phase of the game than the Ravens with the sole exception out of 9 (3x3) being the Bengals offense, but there OLine is in such a bad situation thst i can't come up with the right words to describe it so lets just call it bad.

Your WR can be as fast as they want but if they don't have time to use that speed it doesn't matter.

I don't think that was intentional either i just think the board worked out that way.

Can anyone honestly tell me it doesn't look like the Ravens went 4 for 4 on the picks in the first 3 rounds? If the Ravens see an elite talent at safety or pass rusher fall to them next year they will probably pull the ttigger on more defense.

I honestly didn't think that I would see Flacco at 100% until the bye week after this injury. But that is okay with me. I still think everyone that has played in the preseason has looked rusty on offense. I feel there a lot more kinks to work out than just the quarterback at this point because everyone on all levels seem to be struggling more than they even normally do at this point.

Here is to having a stout young defense.

I agree about the offense. The line, WRs, TEs and RBs are all a work in progress. I can't recall a pre season where so many positions were in such a state of flux. Not just rusty, but who is starting where. lol

You are a fool if you sleep on any of these teams.

Keep in mind we have not beaten the browns by more than six in quite some time.
Just think about that.

We arent going to blow those teams out. The Ravens typically don't blow teams out, but they are bad and bad teams will find a way to lose.

That's all I'm saying. Joe is the leader! And we all know; as Joe goes...so goes the Ravens offense.
