Joe Flacco

I'm still watching all the quarterbacks but I'm really leaning Josh Allen.

I like him. He's a better version of flacco out of college and even though i haven't looked into his personality he surely doesn't look as ''who gives a fuck'' as flacco.

we'd have to be a top 3 pick to get him IMO. i have him as the 3rd pick and who knows..he might end up being the first as he has an NFL skillset

We'd need to lose out but you know what? it's looking very possible. The browns could beat us esp with M.garrett back and the obvious more injuries we're going to face.

I'm one of the few left although on the Flacco bandwagon but the gas tank is on E and I'm one more game away from running out of gas the London game I can understand considering the entire team looked like ass but this game was on his shoulders and he blew it I used to nit get nervous if we were down a score or two going into half knowing Joe would drive down and bring us back into the game but I haven't seen that joe in two years... I've never thought he was elite I've always said he needs a run game and an O-line and he is an above average QB who can win it all for you and he turns it up when it matters I unlike many of you have not even remotely came close to giving up on this season or this team and the only reason it's been in my mind isn't because of Joe but because of the never ending injuries... but I'll give Joe another game or two and I really hope he proves me wrong because he's honestly become my favorite player on this team for the longest time besides Tsizzle so I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt but he needs to step up in a big way or I'm off the Joe wagon aswell

Also lets say Flacco retires, what nightmare scenario would our new QB be stepping into? No weapons, no protection, new coaches and OC etc

If there is one raven from the past this team needs that isn;t an obvious one it would be a guy like bart scott. underrated leader who took no shit and was a better linebacker than cj mosely IMO

Saquam barkley looking like a stud. He will
Probably go top 3 though

I have us losing out and the giants and browns winning 2 games plus so theres a chance. The only game that i'm worried about us winning is vs the bears.

No given allen's poor film from the first few weeks of cfb I'd be surprised if he went in the top 3 - for me he's quite clearly behind Rosen and darnold as well as a few non-qbs - I'd say he's likely still a top 15 pick and probably a top 10 pick but I think top 3 only happens if there's 3 teams picking in a row with a desperate need at qb

There are really only three options re: Flacco.

1. Keep him. Try to stack as much talent on offense as possible to get as much out of him as possible.

2. Phase him out. Draft a guy in the 2018 draft, make him sit behind Flacco until he takes the job and makes Flacco the highest paid backup QB in NFL history.

3. Cut him. Take on that huge cap hit, try to play money ball til 2020 then start anew.

My guess is that we'll see a mix of 1/2 since they aren't mutually exclusive. In 2018, I doubt that they'll be in the Darnold/Rosen range, but they could probably come away with a guy like Mason Rudolph in the 2nd/3rd.

hey now, aside from the bears i think we lose out a 3-13 record is always a top 4 pick

I think that Darnold/Rosen will probably go in the top 2 picks. and if Baltimore in 3rd, they wouldn't give up future picks to move up and if they are 1 or 2, I don't think that they could turn down the future picks that other teams would offer.

Do not... I repeat, DO NOT WASTE A FIRST ON A QB. Picks 1-3 better be OL, OL and OL/RB in any order. It's also been shown you don't need to use a first for a qb. Tyrod Taylor was a 6th round pick, Wilson 3rd, Carr 2nd and Dak 4th. Build the OL. I also don't want a young mind being molded by Flacco seeing how he's displayed his superior reads and sound mechanics...

I agree, I would rather us draft some OL and a RB that can make an imediate impact and find a QB after that

Atleast then, our offense will have a run game identity until we can develop a QB

If it's a guy like Josh Rosen then you can't pass him up. His mechanics are flawless already and his ego is too fuckin big for Flacco to influence him in any way, shape or form.

Sure, you could get someone later. But Rosen, Darnold, and Allen are all guys with traits to be a better QB. You'd be beyond foolish to pass them up. It's a lot more likely for you to find your franchise QB in the first round

I still question Darnold....I feel like being a USC qb is more important to him than playing in the NFL. If you follow his story youll see what i mean. I could see him get lazy at the next level. Meanwhile, Rosen is as stuborn as a horses ass. I like Allen best because hes actually faced some kind of adversity in his career and life that I think can shape and grow a man. Either way, theyre all rich boys from Cali

No way Allen makes it out of top ten. And in all likelihood the top three.
Allen has franchise QB caliber traits to spare. Experienced under center, an arm that rivals anyone in the NFL right now and big time escapability and mobility.

Misses throws high a bit more than I would like and makes you scratch your head with some flaccoisms but makes some insanely accurate throws on the run outside the pocket.

I've not watched any Rosen or Darnold outside of live action but Allen is a big time prospect.
