Joe Flacco

If you're so good at scouting/recruiting you should take the job at the University of Tennessee.... They don't seem to have any Volunteers.....

I'm going to kms now. I'm sorry

@Lost_In_Translation is probably right that its michigan but then again he's also played well when he's been on the field - the inside track isnt always a bad thing - willie henry's turned out pretty good and wormley has done well so far (but has been underused tbh)
Ozzie usually has a really smart strategy of taking at least one player from each trench in the mid rounds. I didn't like Wormley as a prospect but I understood why we took him. It's one of the little things about him that I really like still as a GM. If you don't have good play in the trenches, you're going to be a shit team no matter if you have Tom Brady or Geno Smith

I don't know; Peyton Manning showed a decline can happen at any time without warning.

difference to me is that we've already had that moment (with both brady and brees now) where they looked briefly like they were declining and then they came back better - now if the saints were to win the superbowl this year then i could see brees just walking away and the problem just being "over" as it were but there's normally some evidence of qbs falling off

i was pissed off at the time (albeit that was almost completely forgotten 4 picks later with timmy) and still am not sure we didnt pass up on some obviously better talent but im not unhappy about the pick and certainly can get behind the idea behind it - although it still amuses me that 3/4 of our day1/2 picks were "insider" picks

What evidence was there for Manning from 2014 to 2015?

i mean peyton manning from december of that year through the playoffs was in obvious decline - so often you just have to look for the signifiers and a lot of the time it is continuous poor play excused away by injuries which is the narrative that played out at the end of 2014 but obviously it continued

in december 2014 peyton thew 3 tds to 6 picks and then in the playoffs his ypa started dropping too i think to less than 5 ypa and his completions dropped below 60% - that tells me that his arm was really starting to go
