2021 General Draft Thoughts

Damn passing on Jenkins. I know you went bpa but that was some balls.

haha i know lol - it was close enough that i could have gone the other way - but on a CB needy team, jaycee's probably a top 10 pick type talent lol - i also knew that none of the teams drafting between 27 and 31 would likely be taking tackles - the only threat is someone trading up for him in this scenario (which tbf i think would be highly likely lol)

Here is Chad Reuter's ravens full mock :
1) Rashod Bateman
1) Alex Leatherwood (Ojulari/Tryon and more still on the board)
3) Divine Diablo
3) Malcolm Koonce
4) Tyree Gillespie
4) Janarius Robinson...
5) Nick Eubanks
5 Deonte Brown
6 Payton Turner

??

he quite obviously just gave us the Chiefs picks and just changed the team on them - pretty sure he gave the chiefs our guy jalen mayfield at pick 58 too

that being said - even without that, he's the worst nfl draft writer in the industry and seems to only have a job because he's the only guy who ever bothers to mock beyond round 1

A near perfect first round combo. Most of the rest was retooling the trenches. I'd be happy with this draft.

Reuter and fucking Casserly. Have no idea how those guys are employed

Based on the trade value chart, how far should we be able to move up by offering 27+31

depends on the trade chart...
on jimmy johnson it should get us to 11
the OTC chart (which seems to be really off in value everywhere lol) says we could get into the top 5 which is obviously wrong lol
not sure what PFF says

If we could get to 11, and devonta smith falls beyond 11, and there is a willing partner and we don’t take it, I’ll be not happy lol

The draft starts at 4th.

If ATL isn't taking a QB they need to trade out of it. Especially if SF ends up taking Jones. Some team would give up a bunch for the chance to pick Fields or Lance. If ATL isn't looking QB, I think their guy is Pitts. The problem for the Falcons, even if they trade down to 7th, Pitts is a Bengal or a Dolphin by the time they are on the clock. Falcons are such a mystery to me because I could see then going any number of ways on draft night, I think they need to look to the future, but I also feel like they think they can be a good team in 2021 and might simply stay at 4th and pick a TE.

The Bears are a team to keep an eye on in the QB market. Right now they are rolling with Dalton and Foles. That QB room is getting Pace and Nagy fired. Would make sense to me for the Bears to trade up and land a QB not named Mac Jones. The price will high, but it doesn't matter, if it doesn't work Pace is gone and the mess is the new GM's to deal with.

lol wtf??

Lol I’d be fine with it - I hate giving up picks lol
I do too, but the way I look at it, we give up one year of Orlando brown and send our 58th overall to move up and draft devonta smith.

and we still have the extra 3/4.

we did something similar in 2018(with picks rather than players) and ended up with Lamar. We aren’t sending a big volume of picks, just moving up and sending one high value pick and being done with it, a pick we didn’t even take into account 4 days ago.

hell we even still have enough ammunition to move up on day 2 if a guy starts to fall that we like

During the predraft news conference, aka the Liars Luncheon, Harbs mentioned boze is an option at center. Which only means one thing.. we’re drafting Landon Dickerson.

Billick drafted for the Ravens on NFL network (round 1)
He had us taking Rousseau and followed that pick with Tryon at 31. Rousseau would disappoint a lot of people...but following that with Tryon and marrying the two for five years. I'd get pretty excited about that.
I'll finish it for him up to our 1st 4th rounder
Rousseau
Tryon
Ar'darius Washington
Josh Palmer
Trey Hill

For real though lol, I feel the same.

I think ojulari and Dickerson are gonna be ravens, barring a trade back.
