The General TE Thread

I'm guessing at this point we should start scouting the 2018 TE Class? Or is there someone out there that we can trade for(like Atlanta trading for Tony G years ago)?

You've already given up on Maxx? I guess most have but I wouldn't be surprised if he breaks out this year. At worst I think Boyle is a solid starter ala Heath Miller. If they can stay healthy I have 0 worries about TE. I'd rather us go get one in FA next year.

Well no, but he definitely is in line to have a big breakout year with all these injuries at the position. Isn't Boyle at FB now?

He isn't but he's a lot more talented then Humphrey is. Again, I get why we selected him but my pick would have been Jonathan Allen. Then again I'm not a GM for a reason
If we were considering Malik McDowell at any point, we likely dodged a bullet. He apparently suffered a concussion and facial injuries in an ATV accident and could miss his rookie season. Won't lie, seeing a young player suffer a head injury in an off-road bike accident is somewhat triggering. I wish him well.

Agree on all accounts.

I'm not disputing whether Jonathan Allen is a better player or not. My thought is we are very good at developing dl. Sure Allen could have and may very well be a dominant player in this league to come, but dl is never our weakness.

Off thr topic though, the skins on the other hand hadn't drafted a player in the first two rounds on the dl who wasn't converted to linebacker in god knows how long.

More injury news for #Ravens: TE Crockett Gillmore is having surgery tomorrow to fix his meniscus, source said. Will know the extent post-op

Definitely sucks about Gilmore but I am not really concerned about our TE situation as much as OL. If we miss the playoffs, I don't think we're going to be thinking to ourselves:

"Damn, we lost too many games due to our TE situation."

I don't know. On sheer talent and potential, all the Alabama picks could have gone top 10, in my opinion. It was kinda pick your poison.

I'm with ya on that one. A team is nothing without a solidified o-line.

He's had a good start from what has been buzzing let's hope he is a steal and can stay drug-free.

given how good stanley was the 2nd half of last year and how positive the reports were on him so far in the offseason, the fact that twill beat him off the edge is incredibly promising (as long as its just the once lol)

I agree let's just hope the trend continues. I really wish we could see it. I want videos lol.

Iron sharpens iron. The idea is for Tim to be an elite edge rusher. However I'm rooting for Stanley in training camp wars. Ravens for all the injured es and terribl draft picks could be set at key positions . The edge with Judon and Tim. Then Perriman and Moore at WR.
