The WR Thread

All I'm saying is if he was used as more than a deep threat he'd have production to back up the traits and route running, which inevitably translates to higher draft position, whether you agree with the logic or not.
Not in Ridley's case because he is very obviously one of those special guys. You didn't see much before you watched some freshman film on Ridley and wondered how will his stock be affected by him not being utilised properly lately. What I'm saying is that is completely irrelevant. Production wise, he again has 50 catches for 750 yards, even with all the opportunities he created that were left on the field.

I'm not talking about numbers, but how you get them. All the throws he's gotten from Hurts, he was wide open. Cocker threw him some balls that he had to fight for and he came down with it. He fought for the ball. That's something you want in a WR1 and you don't see that on his 2017 tape.

That's fine. Scouts track him for years now, they don't look at 2017 in isolation. It's not the reason for his stock to be devalued.

In that aspect you're right, but basically his stock is based on what he did in 15, when he could have had a huge season this year to further elevate it. He won't get that chance imo.

But then again, it's because he was so open so often. When he's not he's not getting a chance to make a play on the ball and that's a shame.

i mean some of his being open in that game was down to good route running though - so its not like the last 2 years of tape are devoid of good scouting - he still has to run the routes, make the blocks even if he's not getting targets/receptions or the types of throws his way that you'd want

You say that like being constantly open is a bad thing.
Yeah I know. It's not of course. But he can win in so many other ways and he's not given an opportunity to. Right now he only sees targets when he's open. WRs can't always be, and you want to see him dominate even when he isn't, and I saw that he can. But Hurts never gives him chances in those situations and that's a shame. He'd have 200+ yards against MISST if that was the case.

That wasn't the case in MSST game only and is more on the coaches than Hurts. 50/50 at least. Hurts showed he has the arm and made some progress but unfortunately they had to slow it down a bit and play safe with 4 1st class backs + Hurts due to lot of issues on the defensive side. Can't rely this year on D shutting out opposition and turning the ball over at will.

avocado farm must be a booming ass business these days... everything is avocado this and avocado that and people will pay astronomical bullshit prices for them.
I absolutely love Avocado. Sometimes I’ll replace the cheese in an omelette with avocado.

I just yesterday got 5 for 2 bucks. That's not bad.
BTW, they should also check with Yanda - he must have some big corn crops. They'll be half way down the road of becoming major suppliers of Mexican food ingredients.

yeah i remember him interviewing in the offseason saying they were gonna expand or something because the business was so successful - maybe making their own guac or something too...
