The WR Thread

I think your overlooking DJ moore's route running and deep ball ability. Maryland lost their 2 starting qbs in 3 weeks and were forced to run a screen game passing attack. Watch his texas film and you will get an idea of him running down feild. I do agree that his hands are a slight questuon mark but consistency with the QB position and accuracy has to make it difficult on Moore, he never knows where to expect the ball to be and is forced to adjust on the fly
Your previous post is basically how I feel about Moore, and you jogged my memory he isn't a clap catcher he's a double catcher. Was messing that up lol. But yeah from what I've seen the guy has plenty of potential and I don't dislike him in the slightest, I just want a more polished, proven, and safer pick in the 2nd round.

I'd add Auden Tate to that list. He's a fluid enough athlete that he can surprse people with his cuts, has freat body control, and really strong, reliable hands.
Ehh I like Tate but Im obviously not as high on his fluidity/suddenness as you are, with some work on headfakes and footwork and some other nuances he could develop his separation game to complement his big catch ability, he's not jaelen strong stiff but he could be kelvin Benjamin stiff. He's another guy I'd need to take another look at. I watched 2 games of his a while back and liked a lot of what I saw but I need to gauge his route game better

Ya i agree. Moore looks like a 3rd rounder to me. Id prefer James Washington in Rd2 but i know you dont lol

His route game isnt aweful but hes too damn slow to gain any seperation

i strongly dislike washington and id be fucking pissed if we took him any higheer than 3rd lol

agreed, hes a little bit heavy and a little bit stiff but mostly his issue is acceleration and speed

If you watch enough film on James Washington youll end up liking him. When i say A lot i mean look what hes done from freshman to senior year. Theres a lot of tape of him out there. He has hands Ill say that.

When it comes to big recievers who can gain seperation, i like St. Brown the most. Only problem is he has no tape out there.

I would have no idea weather James Washington is a better prospect than St. Brown tho. They are the 2 hardest players to project at the wide reciever position in my eyes

I agree. I didn’t like him initially. The more tape I’ve seen the more I like. He’s known to be a very hard worker, which can’t hurt.

If the Ravens plan on riding with Flacco until he retires, they should take Washington.
I feel like its what flacco needs. A deep threat who he can trust. Washington will be there and he wont miss practice. Plus Flacco is a much better deep ball thrower than Rudolph could ever be lol

Calvin Ridley with 1 catch for 9 yards going into the fourth quarter... if he does fall to us, this doesn’t spell play maker to me

You can't really judge any player based on one game. Even the greats have occasional bad games. That said, yeah, this championship game isn't a good preview for Ridley's NFL career.

Yea I get you can’t judge but when you consider he disappeared in the biggest game of his life, I don’t like

um - he's been wide open for a huge deep shot chunk and was wide open early on in the endzone and was overthrown both times - he's had maybe only 2-3 other targets and 1 of them he was blocking on the play anyway... its not like he's playing bad - as has been the case for all of hurts' career (and now tua missed him once too) but he's not getting targeted enough or being given much of a chance - he's also quite clearly the best player in bama's passing game so gets more attention...

now im not saying he couldnt play better but to dismiss his performance in this game just because his younger brother (who's had 8 catches all year before this game and has had minimal coverage attention sent his way) is doing better or because he hasnt turned up in this game despite turning up in previous CFB playoff games (including last year by my vague recollection and maybe the year before too)

Got cha. I just started watching but forgot to account how awful his is. The pass that just went to him, it’s plays like that I want to be made if I’m drafting a guy who is turning 24.
