The WR Thread

Exactly. But I did think the same last year and suddenly Foster fell and we got a nice offer from SF. If we have a similar offer this year we better take it.

I agree the value isn’t there for any player ravens would need at 16. Unless Cain jumps after the combine and more scouting. And McGlinchey isn’t. Strong enough to be a dominant Right tackle in the nfl. He could be a good RIght Tackle if he gets a touch stronger. But not dominant or pro bowl caliber player u would want with the No.16 pick. Denzel Ward can play outside and is a top shelf cornerback. But do we want a cornerback at 16 again. It would mean a definite cut of Carr. But an impact player ravens could use instantly isn’t really there at 16 unless Ridley falls or Cain’s stock increases. At Edge rusher Chubb Roquan and Davenport will be picked already leaving a boom or bust Arden Key to decide on. But ravens do not have that luxury cuz there’s been to many busts and not much production from early round rookies lately.

So ravens should trade up or trade back. Cuz of elite talent at impact positions not being there at 16 there probably won’t be much of an offer to trade back. Nobody available that a team would give up a round2 to trade up and get. Unless ravens traded back out of round 1 altogether then the pick isn’t likely to pick up an extra top60 pick. So with ravens needing an impact player now . And Ozzie wanting to draft an impact player b4 giving way to Decosta. Ravens should explore trading up into the top10!! Cuz of the QBs a top5 player is Gonna be available at pick No.9 maybe even 10. Maybe trade a No2 next year and a comp this year to get to pick8 or 9. Can’t be cheap and conservative cuz the drop off from pick8,9 to pick 16 is Colossal!! To get a Bradley Chubb, Roquan Smith, Calvin Ridley, Quentin Nelson, Edmunds it is gonna take a significant pick. BUT ravens desperately needs a cornerstone player to establish some kind of identity that makes players around him better.

Nelson Chubb Roquan and Calvin Ridley would do that. Make players around them better!! Roquan would make those impact splash plays and intimidating hits running around playing fast like he is on fire. Could u imagine Nelson Jensen and Yanda on the oline interior?? Chubb would change the defense with heat on the QB. Tandem Ridley up with a good free agent acquisition at WR and joe and the offense is leaps and bounds better. I’m in favor of picking up extra picks but is anybody at 23-30 going to give up a top60 pick to get to 16? Probably not. So I favor trading to a more valuable spot. And getting impact coveted player!!

For this year, I think one of the top tackles or Lamar Jackson would be our best trade bait. But we'll see. There's also an odd slide come draft time.

I watched them play Clemson this year and he had a heck of a game. There was one play even tho it got called back for holding where he dragged 3 men 5 yds into the endzone. Turned into a superbeast I swear. He just really reminds me of Boldin. Great vid btw and I also notic ed he wasn't even invited to the combine which is just crazy. Another receiver who I think is off the radar is Steven Dunbar from Houston.

And now he is not even mentioned between the 'notable prospects who haven't been invited', per the NFL.
Idk who's responsible for this but he\they just went full retard.

Btw..this weekend I've been collecting 29 gifs about Simmie Cobbs Jr.
Finally a prospect with a lot of material..I'll just have to cut it down to max 10 I guess
As soon as I have time I'm going to post it on the 'News' thread

Byron Pringle is very interesting. Runs clean crisp routes and created a lot of seperation for himself at the senior bowl. Frame is filled out only question is his lack of production at Kansas st. Had some big moments but was largely invisible in some games

Yes. I think he's seriously in the running. Might be the pick it you had to wager right now.
Big play guy that gets speration. Could be more of a "one" than Ridley.
What are you seeing that makes you think Kirk is in the same universe as Ridley?

Think it's more about projection in a few years than right now.

Kirk has that X Factor that makes you think he can take over games and push a whole offense. Ridley is undeniably better but less athletic and has a lower perceived ceiling (although I dislike that word).

Just trying to explain why I don't find myself disagreeing.

I really can´t see how Kirk would be anything more than a #3 receiver. I´ve literally never seen him taking one snap on the outside. He lacks the acceleration and he´s not even a great route runner. In a class like this, full of day 2 WRs, I fail to see any reason for him fitting within the best 5 at the position.

I don't necessarily.I like Ridley a ton better. I think he'll be viewed as a guy who can take games over and I don't think Ridley is viewed that way
