The WR Thread

I really like Cedrick Wilson, but he's far from a finished product. He's a very good hands catcher and has the ability to adjust his body. He struggles through press coverage and needs to improve his footwork at the next level to sell his route and beat press coverage. He can be a very good WR at the next level if he puts in the work.
I think he will, hes got the personality for it
SOURCES TELL US
"They like him inside his building. He's a worker and he doesn't take anything for granted because he had to work his way into this position. He's self made. I go to bat for those guys because they never let you down due to football character." -- AFC team area scout

I don't see a footwork problem, he shows freakish footwork at times

Love Cedrick Wilson. very consistent film.

He is a little raw, its all natural to him and he still needs to learn the nuances of the position. He was a Highschool QB and doesnt have much experience at the WR position but the traits are there
Agreed I just don't see footwork as an issue other than consistency. He needs to have a better feel for it like spatial awareness and speed control, but he has some good footwork, actually one of his most impressive traits(when it's on display, which I admit isn't always).

Definitely not refined, but has some traits that encourage you into thinking he's coachable, not talking about speed or size, but footwork and hands and tracking etc.

DJ Moore measured in at 6'0. Thats great height for him
Where's the rest of his measurements? Hand size and wingspan are a big deal for him.

Edit: just saw, hand size very disappointing but arm length adequate. I was warming up big time but the 9" hands knock him down in my book. Damn, I was really getting on his bandwagon but I was expecting 10" hands. For the kind of game he plays you really want him to have big 10" hands

Yeah that's concerning, he's not some freak who can coast by on athleticism, he can be very solid but he's gotta put in work to be that.
Ya i think i mentioned this before, that he relies on his route running to make plays and once he loses consistency hes much less productive. Hes going to need to work to stay in this league otherwise he'll be gone by year 3.

I dont see his 9" hands as an issue. They werent an issue on tape and not every reciever needs big ass hands to be successful. Kirk has nearly 10" hands yet i question his consistency more than Moore in catching the football cleanly. I think the 6'0 and wingspan is more important for him to win on the outside. Dont read too much into the hand size, 9" is fine anything below that though i worry a little

Yeah, I want my WRs to break the 10” hand mark. Odell, stefon etc.
