Head Coaching Candidates

That’ll change the more Tim Williams, Bowser, Pierce, and Henry develop. All four look like they’re going to be players in this league.

I wouldn’t object to drafting another pass rusher
OK, so we now have safety (I agree with this one), D line, WLB, pass rusher. How many picks will be left to overhaul our offense?

Not sure if sarcasm but we clearly don't have much on defense. I think ILB is going to be addressed in FA, or Peanut will be supplemented in. I wouldn't object to drafting another rusher is not the same as saying I want to draft another rusher. I don't think we do. I think Bowser and Williams are both going to be fine, and Judon is going to be a good #3 pass rusher.

I still believe that this offseason is going to be largely dedicated to the offense. It's obvious to me that this is the case. Especially since the defensive draft in the next draft is well... Poor. Lots of good guys on the top end of it, but nothing better than the previous two years sans the guys towards the very top, and LOADS of depth at the offensive positions.. Every offensive position.

You know we're not going to spend all of our picks on offense. We're just speculating on how to use the others.
I'm not being sarcastic, I just think that we have enough to work with on D, sans safety, but that it's never been more obvious that we need playmakers all over the offense.

the best teams in the nfl at the end of the year are going to be the ones with strong offences and a few playmakers on defence - that's the formula in this day and age - you need a few playmakers on the defence to get some turnovers and a strong offence that can either play keep away or absolutely notch up the score

if you have a good linebacker some dbs who are a threat to take the ball away and the ability to stop the run enough that you can get stops on defence every few series then that's a winning formula

That's exactly what I'm getting at.

I know it's controversial in a sense but I don't hate the idea of drafting a dlineman every year. I just wish we'd draft both a dlineman and an olineman higher than where we drafted the dlineman every year. Football is won in the trenches and if you're deep in both of the trenches you're going to be a good football team.
Agree, I call that putting the sauce on the pizza before you add the toppings. The toppings are you skill players.

That's just it Deebo. He's loaded with intangibles that cannot be taught. Humphrey isn't starting because we are bringing him on slowly, but he's going to be an amazing player for us.

Jonathan Allen certainly hasn't been tearing it up and he just got injured. He's played 51% of the skins snaps which is more than any lineman for them. However, he's not even the best lineman for the skins. Matt Ioannidis a later round pick (4th round I believer) has been the better lineman. OJ Howard certainly hasn't been tearing it up either.

Who did you want at this point?
CB white from bills is a better cornerback than hump. Maybe its cause he start so we get to see more from him. Hump has potential for sure, but seeing him play the same way he did in college, basically no improvements.... annoys me

Or you can have a great defense with a few playmakers on offense .

Actually his footwork has improved tremendously. White is a very good corner and I liked him as well. In the Forum mock draft back on Br.com I drafted white, but that is because Humphrey was already taken, he was my first choice and a much better fit. Humphrey is also a better fit in our defense as well and you’ll see that when you see more of him.

Yep .
We need a playmaking receiver , running back ,tight end and QB . Not asking for much ! Lol.

Cant believe ozzie drafted humprhey with all that talent on the board. Still mind blown about that. Didnt like hump in college nor in NFL till he shows me more.

wasted pick. another in the recent litany.
our guy was litty. he went one pick before we chose. we should have traded for that pick.

Trading up one pick would most likely have cost us the 3rd rounder we used for TWill. I’m sticking with Humphrey.

If your talking Lattimore, he went 11. Hooker went one spot in front of us. Who are you saying was our guy.

You took him for the Seahawks, right? I remember that. Didn't think White really fit the Seahawks style, but a damn good corner prospect.
