If we were to move on from Harbaugh, then I really would want Sean Payton, I think he would completely change this offense and would put pressure on the FO to take surrounding Joe with talent seriously. I think the good thing about the Ravens is that they have a culture that demands that the defense is the for-front of the team but Payton would bring a serious offense here.

I know Drew Bree's is great but I think Sean Payton had plenty to do with his growth. Through his first five seasons he was a good QB but no one really had any idea he would grow into potentially one of the five greatest QBs to play the game. Through his first five Seasons in San Diego he couldn't get to 4,000 yards passing nor could he pass for 30+ TDs. His first season in New Orleans he throws for nearly 1,000 more yards and has makes 30+ TDs in a season seem routine. I understand that Brees is a great QB but I think Payton had plenty to do with his success.

I don't think he would do the same with Joe, but I do think that he would potentially bring one of the most explosive offenses we've ever seen here.

But Payton is clearly not the problem in Nawlins. Why would they fire him. That team's problem is a total lack of talent on defense not named Cameron Jordan.

I agree, he's far and away the best choice. I'd be scared to see what the man could do with actual defensive talent on the team. But why would the Saints fire him?

Yeah, he's not the problem at all clearly, once you give him a good defense he'll win you games, of course he wasn't exempt from the blame there but you can see that if you give him a defense that can get off the field then he will win you game.
Man, imagine if we made a big move and signed Jarvis Landry and not only that, give Payton a run game. I can't even imagine how crazy this offense would be. Regardless, there is absolutely no one who is a better choice then him, it's not even a discussion for me. If we were to move on from Harbaugh and New Orleans were to part ways with Payton, then we better be outside the Saints facility the moment he gets fired.

I still want Teryl Austin. Familiar with the organization. Very good defensive mind. New HC. We've always been at our best with a defensive identity, and given that the NFL is moving more towards having high powered offenses, having a great defensive mind with a GM that knows how to draft defensive talent would be huge. I don't think Pees is necesarily the detriment that some do, but I also think we can do a lot better. I think Austin would also be capable of hiring a good OC at some point as well.

Hell, if the Browns are as dumb as I think that they are then I wouldn't mind Hue Jackson either.

Can we talk about finding a new GM? Im not even sure Decosta can do it considering hes been the one doing the drafting. We just havent found any corner stone players. Ive been waiting to buy another jersey since Ray and Ed left and theres been nothing.....and i dont want to buy a kickers jersey....

I'll agree with ravensmania, rays ego is way too big and I see no coach qualities in him.

if john harball can take over this team after being a special teams coach ray lewis can take it over after being our on the field coach.
if mealy mouth mike tomlin can coach the stealers, ray lewis can coach the ravens to greater heights.
my concern with ray takin over now is we have no team depth and little team talent. but if ray does what ray do, he may single handily turn this team around.

Mccoy did great in San Diego with that terrible o-line. If not him, I want some kind of offensive guru.

Right now outside of Baltimore everyone is saying basically the same thing about the Ravens just swap defense and offense around so anything is possible.

Yeah, because Jim Harbaugh is ever going to leave his dream job....

No thanks. Those college coaches are hard to poach. They make just as much money for a job that's arguably easier in some facets.

For a good defensive mind to possibly be a head coach, I think James Bettcher, the Cardinal's DC, would be a good choice. He could really bring that relentless aggression back to our D, and possibly give some of that mentality to our offense as well.

Urban Meyer. There's a zero percent chance he leaves OSU, but he'd be great in the NFL. Him aside, there's David Shaw. Though again, there's no way he's leaving.

It's a shame Harbs had to go and completely back his moron of an OC. Probably signed his ticket out of town. Harbs has his issues, but wasn't that bad overall.

As fans we are looking to replace Harbaugh and Ozzie. However that, imo, will not happen, unless we lose the locker room and we have too many leaders in the locker room (on defense) for that to happen. We need offensive leaders though and we are severely missing that.
