2018 Free Agency

Has anyone watched film on Will Hernandez? He is just as good as Nelson imo and we have a much better chance with him. Nelson is more unmovable in the passing game, but Will is just as good in the run game. Amazing technique. A run left, behind Stanley, Hernandez, Jensen and Yanda... jeez man. Make it happen
Do we really need to pick a LG early? Don't get me wrong, Nelson would be a fine pick late in the 1st but with Yanda returning, you're looking at an LG spot that composes Lewis/Hurst/Skura. It's not often where teams have a starting caliber guard all the way to the 3rd string. Hurst should come cheap so if we can keep him at LG then that would be a win. Getting Nelson is a fine move but play-making WR would pay huge dividends for this offense. We actually have ran the ball better now then we have in quite a while and Hurst/Skura have been a big part of that.

Lewis coming back from injury and wasnt that impressive at guard in 2016, Hurst is likely playing on another team next year given that he's shown starter level play at guard (hopefully he gets us a comp pick) and skura is fine but not a boon to the offence (more a lack of a negative) - and while we have had a better run blocking game for the first time in a while a lot of it is coming from greg roman's system - he's using pulling guards (even 1 gap pulls) and a lot of tight ends blocking across the line and getting hats into the 2nd level

and if nelson is there late in the 1st (he'll be long gone by then) we would sprint to the podium - as always we go BPA and there arent many prospects better than nelson in this draft - not getting a wr in round 1 does not preclude you getting one in round 2 or free agency - i have no problem not going guard in round 1 but if nelson is there we take him no questions - and if pryce is there and the best player then you get him - same goes for hernandez (havent watched any film of his yet)

Remember the steelers were down juju so that evens out. Monroe sucked and was overrated. The jags knew that and didn't want him back so unloaded him for whatever. A true lockdown left tackle in his prime woulda sold for more than late round draft picks free agent or not. It was a bad signing. Jimmy I agree with signing cuz there were not any options for a true No.1 cornerback. I believe some fans overrate him putting him with Sherman and company cuz he doesn't perform as dangerous of tasks as the top studs. But nonetheless he is a legit No.1 cornerback and was the only option. Pitta and wright was wasted money as was Rice. Even b4 KOing his gf he was a runner closing in on 30 with a lot of mileage on the tires since his college days. A fresh contract didn't make any sense. Webbs first contract made sense locking up a young stud early. But all the extensions after all his injuries didn't.

Jensen resigning is a priority. Not many centers man up one one one with great defensive lineman. He has allowed to cover up Hurst and Skura's deficiencies and use them on combo blocks. It's usually the center that is underpowered and used in many combo blocks. But Jensen is a rare center that can man up big bods and interior rushers. Jensen is the catalyst for the ravens run game. He is the attitude and anchor of the oline. It would be unfair to defensive lines if he was playing next to Yanda and Osemele. Or even Yanda and a Ron Leary or Brooks. Anyways for the run game to progress ravens need a stud guard next to Yanda.

On a side note Urschel coulda been great. His rookie year he played at 320lbs and was dominant. When willfork wants to know who you are as a rookie,he is doing something to impress him. What many fans don't realize is he felt it is unhealthy carrying around 320 lbs along with the hits and clashing of the NFL trenches. So he began playing at lighter weights. He played in 2015 at about 300 and last year at 285 or lighter yet didn't really get bulled around. Wasn't as impressive as late 2014 season and January 2015 but he didn't get bullied.

JuJu being out does not even out Jimmy's loss. Not even close. A player like Jimmy allows the Ravens to play cover 1 or even rotate safeties around the field in coverage. He allows you to be very aggressive which goes in hand with why our pass rush has declined. JuJu is a good player but he's not as impactful as Jimmy.

Pitta contract was a bad idea but the Wright contract was set-up so it could be easy to get out of, it has hardly hurt us. I really can't say I agree with the criticism on the Rice deal, they had no idea of what was going to happen and at the time Ray was premier 2000 yard from scrimmage back at the age of 26 when he signed him deal, that's hardly old even for a running back.

Dez bryant will most likely be a FA next season. he isnt a very good route runner but he is better than what we currently have if we use him right

I really hope we dont go oline in the 1st rnd

I said bellichick is a moron letting him go. He is gonna be the best QB in the league for a long time!! He is as good as Brady. Yes I'm saying that!! Cleveland was interested but pats weren't trading him to afc team. Bellichick knows he is good but probably doesn't expect him to be the best after Brady retires.
BB is very smart. I dnt think letting jimmy G was his idea only.

I'd rather have Jarvis Landry. It seems like he's just about as good as gone after that shouting match that he had with Gase.

You actually think someone else wanted to get rid if him and overruled B.B. not a chance.

He knew it wouldn’t be fair to Jimmy G to franchise him ala Kirk Cousins. Best thing is to have him out of the conference

BB is the GM there, so he had final say (unless Kraft stepped in).

Landry would be great but the bidding for him is going to be intense. I will be stunned if we come away with him. Just feels like the level of FA that we don't get into a bidding war over.

Dez just turned 29 and Landry just turned 25. We have another 10 years before we consider signing them

Seriously though, I don't care who we get as long as we improve upon our WR core from this season.

Hell yeah, he’s my first choice and I think the jags let him walk.
He’s at the top of my list I had to check and make sure he was when no one was speaking of him but I wouldn’t mind keeping Wallace and Maclin and signing him I know jmac hasn’t been popular but I think give him an off-season to mesh with Joe and this team and the three of them could be dangerous
