2018 Free Agency

That was a really special WR class that year. And now they're about to break the market now that they're about to hit FA. And what did we get from that group? Campanaro in the 7th (who's good but that's still a pretty underwhelming haul for that class) and Perriman the next year. I'm still bitter about that, and I'm still upset that the Giants took OBJ - though watching us pass on him probably would have been enough to make me ragequit anything to do with the franchise and become a Browns fan.
As much as I love Mosley, if we would have taken him over Odell, I don't think I would ever be able to get over it.

i mean the players werent necessarily available in the right spots

id rather have cj than benjamin or cooks
and timmy jernigan was a fine pick - you could argue we should have got allen robinson, davante adams or landry
3rd round is where it kind of runs out - donte moncrief we could have maybe got (and terrance brooks did nothing so that would have been a better pick and we could have got martavis bryant in stead of crockett gillmore or brooks too i suppose)
but the only later guy who has turned into anything quincy enunwa at the end of the 6th round (we wasted our 6th rounder that year lol)

So I don't know where to put it and maybe someone has already posted about it, but I saw in LFW this week that a team has reportedly asked about a trade for ZDS similar to the one we made for Jernigan. That sounds interesting
I already posted it yesterday. More or less the quote.

Well, I guess we're not going to change how we feel here. There's really no need to go back and forth on this since this is not the thread for this convo.

No dude, I get you completely he was 26 and coming off a very strong season. I shoulda elaborated more. I don't trust giving big contracts to any workhorse running back with a lot of carries for more than 3 yrs. cuz he can suddenly slow down and not look like a franchise back outa nowhere. Happens all the time. Only my opinion

That's fair though

I think Landry is cross off the list, doesn’t he have a domestic violence thing to his name? Here’s hoping jags don’t resign Robinson and lee

And what I'm saying is, he will get top dollar on the market, and not live up to the deal. Not fizzle out as in just stop giving a shit about football. Robinson probably gets the top deal, but I think Landry will be only slightly behind him, and Robinson will be elite while Landry is average. Now this also depends on the team he goes to, if he goes to GB or the rams or something where he isn't asked to be the focal point then he should do fine, but he's gonna get #1 money and never be a #1

I think you are spot on. Anybody could fall in love with him. He loves football plays hard and can move the chains. I like him a lot. But not as the big wr acquisition that will get the offense over as a juggernaut. He can't get behind a defense and doesn't get that kind of attention from opponents. Cornerbacks don't play on his heels when guarding him. When a cornerback lines up over Marqise u can see the respect as soon as the ball is snapped.the cornerback plays on his heels facing Marqise. You don't see that with Landry. He could very well underform if expected to be the NO.1. Especially if there isn't a No.1 to top shelf No.2 across from him. If his numbers slid to 70 catches 800 yards it wouldn't surprise me. And you don't want that from a receiver you pay over $10mil per. Ravens offense would be far better off paying an extra $2million per year to a more explosive WR like Robinson that will actually put your offense over, make joe better and make his fellow receivers better from the attention he takes. That would be moronic to settle for Landry over Robinson over a petty $2mil per yr. team is far better off with Robinson and better off with Marqise for that matter.

i can see the jags not re signing robinson. they have some other solid receivers and may not want to tie up a lot of $$ into robinson. if i am ozzie i would try and get him but not give up our 1st. lee has injury issues so i would stay away.

I'll always be more pissed off that we didn't pick Diggs a year later with so many opportunities to get him.
Yeah, being a Terp it really burns my ass we didn’t snatch him. Hopefully they take DJ Moore if he’s available. Dude catches everything.

In what round do you thing DJ Moore will be selected?
I don’t follow other prospects that closely so I’m not sure what the WR class is like next year. You have to think though that he’ll go much sooner than Diggs did. He led the Big 10 in receiving while playing with 4 different QBs.
