2018 Free Agency

Goddammit - this is the first move that’s pissed me off so far - wth? He’s cheap and he was probably the best receiver on our whole roster to finish the year - he’s by far the best receiving back, by far the best pass protecting back, was probably our best slot receiver too tbh

This is creating another need for limited cap gains
Come on now...
Who cares? What difference does he make in a greater picture? How many games would he play this year, four?

I am not understanding these moves at all.

So far here’s the summary of all our moves:

Resign Brent urban
Resign James hurst
Release Austin Howard
Release Danny Woodhead
Pick up option Brandon Carr

Surely Maclin has to be the next move

Brandon Carr is back per Zrebiec. They did pick up his option

Ravens know how to waste money on declining players. Shoulda been content squeezing one year out of a 30 yr old career mediocre cornerback. But I know the jackasses running the ravens will keep resigning a player until he is totally cooked to point of benched. That’s when ravens figure out when not to resign a player. The incompetent drafting shouldn’t surprise anybody. Management can’t scout a declining player in front of their noses. How could it remotely scout college?? Lmao. Carr was only mediocre cuz of Peas system dropping everybody in coverage and giving lots of double teams and help. He is gonna get cooked and benched by week 8. Count on it!! $5million more thrown in the river. But those jackasses will be gone after a double digit loss season. When the division sweeps the ravens including the Browns lol

@Lost_In_Translation and you thought we could sign Norwell lmao....

Former Panthers’ G Andrew Norwell intends to sign with the Jaguars on a 5-year deal for $66.5 million, including $30M fully guaranteed, source tells ESPN. He is going to become NFL’s highest paid guard - $13.3 million average.

Carr was cooked routinely and Hurst fucking sucked. What are you smoking?
Pretty sure they started every game for us and Carr held his own for the most part. Not sure if you noticed but one of our biggest problems last year was dependability. Carr and Hurst actually brought some stability to our team. Plus Hurst is cheap and we can still upgrade the position via draft.

The pessimism here is making me sick.....

I hear you but this is reminding me of last year kind of. And keep in mind, before FA last year, in the Ravens state of the union, they said they would fix the line to protect joe and had complimentary WR in mind, but we never made a move until June when "lucked out" with Maclin.

I'm trying to keep faith but this looks very familiar
