FA traditionally hasn’t been his thing, if I remember correctly. Think Aaron Wilson left him good Ravens sources, but FA is more of a league source need.

i guess it's just that im used to seeing other ball clubs have their beat writers break things that the insiders jump on moments later and yet the local guys in baltimore always seem to be slow

i guess it just makes me wonder how much the ravens even value the local beat or how useful the local guys even are...

It’s largely agents spreading out info at this time of year, though. Obviously, Ravens are going to keep what they’re doing as quiet as possible. Really just depends on the relationships and in all honesty, Zrebiec is still relatively new to being the sole Ravens guy. Takes time to develop that rapport.

fair enough - i guess i just get jealous of all the info fans of other teams get through this free agency period from their multiple local beat writers - like mary kay cabot for the browns...
i mean it makes sense for the ravens to be secretive but sometimes i wish they were a little less secretive

So here's an actual TLDR. Yes, I've been a condescending ass. I'm well aware of it. But saying that we needed to blow up the team and rebuild is asinine. We've put ourselves in the position, at least on the defensive side of the ball, where if several of the players turn into the people I think they can become........................

Honestly. If we play our cards right the team could be significantly improved come next offseason. The talent pool in FA is stacked. We don't need to end up with a superstar, but just a few good players.

I’m so sick of the term “injury prone” being thrown around so lightly.

You could have a better argument saying Watkins is injury prone.
