oh man when they get to the part with marlon making that first pass breakup i legit punched the air and felt proud - and then it pissed me off more because our offence did literally fuck all - it would have been so great if they got this last game against the packers - he gets his 1st pick, he takes over and likely wins the starting job, he plays excellent coverage and is part of a shutout win

I hope they go to the monday night game. I feel like he will shine. He usually does when the lights are brighter (at least he did in college)
 

This is gonna be a big matchup for jimmy smith. He just came off his worst game (i know right) allowing 3/4 completions for 47 yards. He didnt practice all week so that tells me his achilles is still an issue. Hes still playing at an elite but Hopkins is playing at that same level.

I also think we should play Humphrey often! Hes matched up well against big recievers in college. I think he would step up to the challenge

Those numbers are not going to stand because he did not allow 3 completions.

so i just watched that matchup and it actually made me a little less worried - the cardinals scheme is built to be beaten by a guy like hopkins - no way he finds an open lane like that running across the field in the intermediate - their defence just looked wrong with pat peterson trailing him all the way across the field on that play and no one else in the middle of the field

jimmy also rarely gets out physicalled as it were and hopkins is known to opi - i also noticed at least 2 throws where hopkins had to essentially play defence

i also hope that we can get some pressure on savage because he's a statue in the pocket and they have an awful offensive line - i know this is greedy but i want even more sacks this week

that's what i was thinking, especially now they've lost watson and donta foreman to injury and duane brown to a trade - they are weak at the 3 cornerstones of offences that have caused us trouble - left tackle, qb and rb - they arent really a threat to get outside the pocket which should mean that our edge rushers can pin their ears back and aim squarely at the qb
