I'd be amused, I feel like we have zero pressure to make a splashy play there. Alongside Malik and Queen I reckon we keep either two solid but cheap vets (e.g. Fort, Bynes) as we did this year or if they spot someone they like in the mid-rounds *cough* Chad Muma *cough* then grab them and just keep the one vet.

This is the most ravens thing ever, and I’ve feared it this whole time lol. Not that I don’t love devin Lloyd as a prospect I just can’t get on board with a LB who isn’t an edge.

I’m not a big fan of us taking a corner in the first, but Gardner is different, I think he’s a future all pro
is there a punter available in the 1st round
wouldnt be my first choice but would have no real issues with it - there's a clump of guys who are all going to have a similar grade from me at various positions and he's definitely someone who'd be worthy of the 14th pick
think he'd be a very nice complement to queen - and someone who'd be a good fit as a mike
you could argue we have some sort of needs at basically every position outside of QB - so if Lloyd's the BPA when we get on the board then absolutely we should pull the trigger whether bynes and fort and board are still here or not
Naw its not gonna happen. This is probably gonna be our only chance to get an elite rusher and we almost gotta go for it. The scariest part is us picking the wrong one lol

I'd only take Hutchinson over Johnson. Maybe Thibodeaux but I'm not sure I would.

I agree that he'd be nice next to Queen, but at 14 feels a bit too rich for me.
If we get to 14 and there are still a few guys around that we are interested in and might go later in the 1st (e.g. Penning, Hill) and also Lloyd was available, then I could see us trading back into the 20s and seeing which of those options is still around. I'd be down for taking him at that point.

Before Hutchinson was widely regarded as the first overall pick, I was not high on him, and when the hype train started I was not getting on board, he looks like a mid first kinda guy, I just don’t see the traits to call him a first overall pick
lloyd's definitely worth the 14th pick - maybe not sexy because it's another LB...
but i wouldnt be mad if they took him at 14 straight up - and id be very very cool with them trading down and still getting someone of lloyd's calibre

i was somewhat with you when watching some of those games live - but going back to the tape completely changed my mind on him... he's not a bosa or a garrett or a chase young where he's this supreme dominant athlete or technical savant - but he's easily the most dangerous, savvy and pro-ready pass rusher in this class - the way he transitions through moves and adapts to what tackle's give him is so good - teams consistently sent extra blockers his way, made sure to run to the other side of the formation and often used quick game... and if those teams couldnt be successful in those situations he was getting home
got no problem if someone wants to put thibodeaux higher based on pure athleticism and outrageous burst - but i think hutchinson is probably going to test very well too
