2022 General Draft Thoughts

In light of this news regarding Carolina looking to trade back, would you be opposed to trading 14 and 45 to get up to 6? And who would be your ideal target?

For me I’m down and I want KT or Sauce
I was just thinking about this and i wouldnt do it at all.. i think we can possibly get a some good value with our 45th pick this year… now our next yr 2nd, it can go lol…

That’s a good point but I don’t think they would take that deal considering they have no picks this year.

Not sure, they would consider it but maybe 14, 76 and 2023 2nd for 6. I would absolutely do that

absolutely not doing that lol
and not even sure that would do it anyway

im not giving up that much capital in this class for anyone... if a sure-thing like a bosa was there then maybe i'd think about it

but i dont think that's anyone in this class

im not doing that either lol
why are we going up to 6?

100% the falcons will trade down for extra picks
100% the seahawks will trade down for extra picks
and i think there's a decent chance that washington and the vikings would move down the board too

ravens would have to be legitimately in love with a prospect to go up that high

Man i love stingley but its something about sauce im liking after watching vids on him last night. My boy confident and put in the work
I don't mean this as a shot to Stingley by any means, but this is what I like about Sauce so much. Might not have the same natural talent as Stingley but he's a dog and he plays with so much confidence whereas Stingley has some periods when he just kind of went through the motions (and that's because he can). Different strokes of course and I like both a ton, but there's something about Sauce's aura that just stands out for me.

This is why when Gardner was being talked about as a late first I was like “idk about a corner at 14 but I would still really like Gardner at 14” but Now that the media has sunk their claws in him it’s like “fuck man if only we had a chance at him” lol.

Two times in this draft that’s happened, with him and walker, I did not understand how I was always seeing these guys mocked to us at 14 because their tape was so much better than 14.

Always how it works. You'd like to believe that some of these analysts are digging into the tape and coming up with their own thoughts but the reality is that they're really just catching up to what the NFL thinks and echoing those who can actually get that information.

I think you may be right. I've actually had conversations with friends and told them this may be the year the Ravens move up in the first round, which they haven't done since I've been a Raven fan. They have traded into the first to draft Lamar and last year by trading Orlando Brown to the Chiefs, but they haven't traded up from their original 1st round pick. I've been a fan since 2014.
I sincerely hope so

it's why i like guys like dane brugler and lance zierlein and DJ - actual tape junkies who watch these guys... and it's why they're often earlier on various prospects who are gonna rise... because they're actually watching the tape like scouts

and dane and DJ were high on travon walker earlier than everyone else this year - some people blasted dane for having travon walker at 6 before the combine... and now post-combine people are talking about him as a 1st overall pick

lance wasnt particularly high on travon but he was the first guy i saw who was lower on demarvin leal (where he now is for most people)

You're more likely to hit a HR if you have more at bats - if we go by one of EDC's baseball analogies
The last time we had a shit load of picks in the 4th round our draft was fucking abysmal lol. I'd rather trade up for that blue-chip player

  • Round 1, Pick 6 OT Ronnie Stanley.
  • Round 2, Pick 42 OLB Kamalei Correa.
  • Round 3, Pick 70 DE Bronson Kaufusi.
  • Round 4, Pick 104 CB Tavon Young.
  • Round 4, Pick 107 WR Chris Moore.
  • Round 4, Pick 130 OG Alex Lewis.
  • Round 4, Pick 132 DT Willie Henry.
  • Round 4, Pick 134 RB Kenneth Dixon.

If not for injuries, that round 4 would have been decent. Rounds 2 & 3 were the worst.
