The Good, the Bad, and the Savage: Week 12 Edition

From what I remember the d-line was jumping to try to bat the ball down correct?

Was it a bad throw or did he have to get the ball around those defenders? Genuine question
I wonder what happened on the long pass where he hit Wallace in the face.

He was inactive, I believe.
Now THIS is laughable. I saw no reason for this as he played well enough in his limited snaps.

Well, if you ask a certain poster who dislikes him for whatever reason, he's not worth the money he's making.

Gave me a good laugh.
Gave me a good laugh as well. But the Facebook commenters were the worst when Jimmy got hurt. To this day, I'm still in disbelief that at one point last season with an inconsistent-at best pass-rush, we were the #1 defense when he played.

I mean, realistically, they were against backup players and he was always behind Young-Webb-Canady. They may view him more as a long term answer that isn't ready now and I wouldn't be able to argue with that.

I will never understand anyone questioning the value of Jimmy. Went on Reddit and there was a thread asking if Jimmy was still elite after he got beat by Hopkins. Like, dude, Hopkins has victimized Sherman for 8/224/1, Peters for THREE touchdowns, Peterson for 4/74/1. Hopkins had 4/54/1 against the Jaguars and we know damn well how good Bouye and Ramsey are. If Hopkins goes off in the second game against the Jaguars, will we question if Ramsey is elite? I mean, he already gave up a touchdown to Hopkins in week one.

To be honest, I'm pretty sick of how are players at some positions scrutinised. Corners in particular. It's bloody hard to keep up with freak athletes that are WRs while running backwards, so what if they get beat from time to time?

Cornerback is without a doubt one of, if not the most, difficult positions on the field. When they make a mistake it's rarely missed and the entire stadium sees it.

If Jimmy plays at an elite level for 15 games and struggles with the one receiver that every single corner has struggled with, I'll live with that.

Jaylen Hill did well in his limited snaps before canady was activated but he’s obviously a smaller corner and doesn’t offer anything special in dime or on special teams which is likely why he is inactive but my impression is that he’s currently the number 2 slot corner ahead of webby

I’d like to maybe see him active and on the field against shiftier slot corners and matchup the different strengths of our slot corners based on the opposition but it may also be that canady is just outplaying him and he therefore can’t get active on game days

I mean, Webb is a small corner and he was the starter at SCB on Monday, I believe...
