Next Up: @Pittsburgh

Different? Yes. But last I looked his team was 10 - 2 and the #1 seed in the tournament.
While the Steelers have won many games ugly, they aren’t in that position because they have a bad QB.
To state it bluntly, individual stats are for fantasy, wins are for real. Seems Ben is still dangerous when it matters most.

This was a specific reference to how Ben now deals with pressure as opposed to overall qb play - and theres also a drastic difference in his play quality home vs away - that being said he just looks less comfortable generally in the pocket and can’t avoid/miracle his way out of a sack the same way he used to

But he’s still a good qb (most of the time)

Got it.
I hope he sucks bad tonight. lol

Completely unrelated.....Are you in the south? I'm watching the derbys and heard some areas have gotten 8 inches of snow. Isn't that unusual?

Given our inconsistent play, do you really believe we can replicate the offensive efficiency vs. the Steelers in Heinz Field? I'm not so sure we are such a team quite yet. We are mind bogglingly inconsistent especially on offense. Don't forget not too long ago after we beat the Raiders the offense seemed to have come alive somewhat as well. After that? Not so good till the Lions game. To me, this is a must win game if we seriously harbor any hopes for a good playoff run. If it is a must win, then we need to do the risky things that can reward us big. For some reason, call it gut or instinct I have a feeling that if Perriman is active, he'll break out big time and help us seal a win.
Well - I certainly hope you are right. I just have to say I'm done sitting and hoping for a performance that shows no sign of ever coming. I personally gave up on him after that game killing drop he had vs. Chicago. I swear I even said it to myself as the ball was in the air and I could see it was perfectly thrown - "If he doesn't haul this in, I give up". Not only did he not haul it in - he turned it into a pick 6. Right then and there I said I was done.

Having Perriman do anything remotely close to what we'd hope he'd be able to do would be huge for this team ... not just for this season, but for next. It is no secret that our WR corps is weak and we'll be losing Wallace next year. The draft class isn't strong (from my limited knowledge) at that position next year and we have no cap space to bring in a proven player - either by FA or by trade. However, I don't know what the percent chance is on that scenario, but it feels like it is approaching infinitesimal.

Draft class isn't necessarily weak, just not top heavy. You got Calvin Ridley and then an assortment of second round guys with either high ceilings or high floors. Courtland Sutton, Auden Tate, equanimeous st brown are all late first early second big bodied high-pointing receivers, Anthony miller is a stellar route runner and ball-attacking type who plays with a huge chip on his shoulder, Christian Kirk is another good possession style guy and an excellent return man and gadget player, James Washington and Dante Pettis are both very raw guys but have upside and can stretch the field, deon Cain is extremely physical and a good athlete who plays a pretty well rounded game. I know we say this every year. I know we say this every year but I really would be shocked if we don't come away from day 2 with a receiver or at least a TE which is a big strength of this class. I could totally see Anthony miller or st. Brown in round 2 for the ravens.

Not that I want to turn this game thread into a draft thread ... but thanks for the run-down. Obviously, if a guy isn't clear first round talent, I won't know much about them. Good to hear there are solid options beyond the no brainer 1st rounders. WR is second only to QB in the position where pre-draft predictions get thrown out the window and guys are taken well before they are projected. If we covet one of these early 2nd round projections ... we may actually be fortunate to get him using our 1st round pick.

I know there will be those out there who will say - NO!! .. NO 1ST ROUND WRs PLEASE !! I'm sorry - I am not buying that. If the talent is there and it is a position of DESPERATE need, you pull the trigger. Do we have a good draft track record at drafting WR? No ... but it just is not as bad as many pump it up to be. One 1st round draft bust at the position per decade ... which means maybe our second one this decade will actually pan out.

After thorough scientific research and using multiple accurate prediction models, I've come to a conclusion for tonight's game:

Ravens: 20
Steelers: 84

Do not dispute or argue this. Accept this as an irrefutable and inevitable fact of life. Continue on.....

I had a dream last night that we somehow lost 29-28 yet we had the ball in steelers territory ready to win. Idk what happened but all i know is we lost......then i woke up
