The Beatdown, The Tackling and Yet Another Injury

The last time a Ohio Team did that to us at home was 2019 when the Browns did the same thing. Then they awoke a sleeping giant, we never loss in the regular season again and Lamar won MVP.

Bengals don't know what they just did....
That team was healthy and improved drastically over the next week due to a major trade.

this does not appear to be the case

I mean, it's a fair point and I did turn the game off and go do something else for a bit before posting here, but there's always this "season over" hyperbole when we lose and it's always wrong. I think we've gone into the bye thinking we have fundamental unfixable flaws for the last 3 years now and come out with major improvements because we have good coaches. In the big picture, we don't have to be perfect now. The 2019 Ravens were perfect now and didn't win a playoff game. Every loss gives the coaches a chance to look at where we're vulnerable and we only need enough wins to make it to the big dance - which we're well on track for.

That said, I'm definitely anxious waiting for the news on Mekari because more season-ending injuries really could be the death sentence.

i think it's too familiar seeing how our season ended last year with the OL ultimately failing and the way the coaches were able to scheme around those flaws in the regular season but that it still became are undoing despite that good coaching

i fully expect us to find some answers during and after the bye - i just worry that at some point in january it will all finally prove too much just via pure attrition/luck

the mekari injury has the potential to be catastrophic to this passing game

Just brutal. If this is a 4-8 week injury, I'm not sure how they will weather it. Phillips looks very much not like the answer at RT. Signing Fluker off the Vegas practice squad might be the best bad option barring Jawuan James rising from the grave.

just look at 79 Bengals (carman 2 round), how he abuses brandon williams

loved him coming out - was surprised the bengals took him that high and he started this season slow but really liked him and was hoping that he'd drop into potential 3rd round trade up range for the ravens before the draft happened

what's so frustrating is that the injuries this year havent even been clearly any sort of conditioning issue at all - almost every single one has been some sort of roll up situation

for those suggesting lamar's holding the ball way too long or running into sacks...

i dont see him on this list

So GRo’s passing concepts killing us again, or what’s going on?

When you put great receivers in man coverage with no help against any DB in the league, they'll make them look bad. Ramsey, Alexander, Marlon doesn't matter who it is.

That's what happened yesterday.
happens more to hump though. You can say that all you want but this isnt just a yesterday thing. Guy gets beat alot.

My takeaway was that the oline's no good
But Lamar had quite a few drop backs where he had ample time to survey the field, then it turned into a sack…

no just means most sacks at least partially attributable to the OL rather than solely on Lamar holding the ball or running into sacks
My bad. I’m misunderstanding. Been a hectic ass Monday morning for me lol

No one listen to me until about 12pm PT today

idk that he did have that much time very often - i saw him buy some time in a compressing pocket but being forced off his spot to look downfield

If you created a the same list, you could very well have lamar at 8+ or even 0.. what we know for sure and what we have seen with our own eyes is that he does often hold on to the ball longer than usual. Now do they all end up in sacks? Idk but he does hold on to the ball for a bit sometimes..
